I really thought Evan Turner was going to be one of the best guards in the league.

I really thought Jimmer would at least be a backup on a good team.

I really thought Wesley Johnson was going to at least be a poor man’s Matrix

I really thought Ricky Ledo would be a talent in this league, get a chance like Lance Stephenson. 

I really thought Austin Rivers would be like a Russell Westbrook/Stephen Curry hybrid. Not saying he was going to be as good, but his playing style would allow him to be an attacking point guard, at a near all star level.

I really thought Damian Lillard wouldn’t be as good as he is. 

I really thought James Harden would be the best member of the OKC Big three (Harden, Westbrook, and Durant).

I really thought J.R. Smith would figure it out, get his head on straight and become a superstar. I used to always think he reminded me of young Kobe. The only problem is he still plays like young Kobe, meaning rookie year Kobe. 

I really thought people would recognize how good Carmelo is. That may seem weird, but I don’t think people give him enough credit.

 ’03 Reese Gaines. I was only 13 but I really thought Reese was going to be a stud going in the first round to the magic I believe. I liked him more than d wade, then reality set in and d wade took off while Gaines faded into obscurity. He had game in college though.
