    This is a huge trade.

    Clippers get:
    Kevin Garnett
    Tony Allen
    Bill Walker
    2nd round pick

    Celtics:
    Zach Randolph
    Marcus Camby
    1st overall pick

This would be great for both teams. Clippers will get a super star and will be unloading Randolphs contract. The Celtics will take on some large contracts, but will b able to draft griffin, making a young nucleus of rondo, perkins, and griffin to develop under randolph, allen, pierce, and camby. They also wont have to worry about signing powe or davis
    Starting Lineups:
    Clippers:
    PG- Baron Davis
    SG- Eric Gordon/Tony Allen
    SF- Al Thorton/ Bill Walker
    PF- Garnett
    C- Chris Kaman

    Celtics:
    PG- Rajon Rondo
    SG- Ray Allen
    SF- Paul Pierce
    PF- Griffin/Randolph
    C- Perkins/Camby

Both teams are very good now, but the celtics may need to add a little bit more.

The Clippers don’t want to trade away their future.

i wouldnt consider that throwing away there future, if they want, switch the second round pick for next years 1st, giving the clips two firstround picks in a stacked 2010 draft

This trade is just bad news for both teams. As much as KG would be by far the best player in the deal, he is getting up there and would not really be the answer to a Clippers squad that is already injury prone even with trading away Camby. I can not say that this would be too much to get Kevin Garnett, but it just would make no sense to give that away to get Kevin Garnett. That, and I honestly think the Celtics would take a step back and really have a log jam at big while losing that defensive intensity and leadership Kevin Garnett brings. Do not try and tell me that Marcus Camby is a better defender than Kevin Garnett or even less injury prone. The immediate impact would be felt on the Clippers getting slightly better and the Celtics getting slightly worse and in the end, the Clippers would most likely be screwed because they decided to trade away Blake Griffin to become a low to mid play-off team. Just a crazy trade that just seems to make very little sense for both teams, and the ultimate question would be why would the Celtics want Zach Randolph?

Trade hurts both teams. Randolph is the least “Celtic Like Player” in the league. Clippers need to build around Griffin. They would regret trading him for years. Garnett deserves to finish his career in Boston and play with Pierce, Allen and Rondo.

kevin garnett is one of the greatest power forwards of all time, he has a championship, an mvp, a defenensive player of the year, and shows very little signs of aging.

    zach randolph is a loser

why would they bring in KG to start over griffin?

also why would the celtics change? the only reason theyre not winning another championship this year is because garnett was injured for the playoffs. which they still gave a good run in

This is a good trade for the Lakers so if they made the Finals next year the Celtics wouldn’t be there to smoke them again. Clippers really want to help move the team along get rid of Baron Davis for a younger pg who can stay healthy. Don’t trade Camby, Kaman to teams for scrubs try & get back a decent PG, SF and/or picks in future drafts. Good news is at least Maggette, Brand aren’t on the team they lucked out on them two. Not so lucky with their GM/coach and owner.

The Celtics don`t have to change the make-up of team. They almost made it to the Eastern Conference Finals even without Garnett and Leon Powe. Although they are aging they are a very good team and Rondo is getting better and better after every game. This trade does not make any sense as they would be ruining the entire chemistry of their team.

the man is a double-double machine. everyone in the league is a spoiled little girl u just hear about some complaining more than others. unfortunetely randolph is one of those who got called out. he is a beast, can block a shot a game or so and can step outside and can get u 22 and 12 day in and day out.

he is a great scorer and rebounder but basketball is a team game. When you never pass the ball, teamates start complaining and team chemisrty no longer exists.

Whether it would work for both teams or not would be moot, since I believe Garnett has a no-trade clause. At least he did when he went from the T-Wolves to Boston, because he had to approve the trade for it to happen. I really don’t see him approving a trade that sends him to the Clippers.
