Found a new way to put up with this Hubert Davis when he’s nearly putting me to sleep watching college gameday. Whenever this guy pops up on your screen and says the words "at the point guard position" take a drink.  My brother and I did this the other day and you will be suprised how drunk you get as he doesn’t shutup about people "at the point guard position."

Trust me, it sure as hell beats listening to him sober.

yeah hes a pain in the ass…jay williams sucks too… and doug gottlieb is quite the d-hole. i like len elmore’s voice an smoothness but hes not very accurate, bob knight is senile, and laphonso ellis seems to say the popular thing as opposed to his own opinion

Digger is by far the worst of the talking heads that claim to know basketball. He’s an imbecile. On the contrary however, I really like listening to Bilas. He really knows his stuff and doesn’t let any bias get in the way of his analysis or commentary

Haha @Universal, I know what you are talking about on Rafftery. He says the other announcers name and then the teams names and then goes merrrp-merrp. Hahaha I just made that up I have no idea what he says lol.

I think Raftery says the team on D’s defense.

    Por ejemplo:

    "Purdue!  Mntmn!" (Man-to-man)

    "Syracuse!  Tthree!" (2-3)

But yeah, he is wierd as heck.  You gotta feel bad for Verne Lundquist, dude is just tryin to make a few easy bucks before retirement and he gets stuck listening to Raftery’s shtick.

It’s pretty sad that a 70 year old man is making those weird noises lol.

“He’s just a coach’s dream,” says Williams. “He handles the situations with wisdom that’s beyond his years. He listens, he’s humble, and yet he still has an edge. I saw him get on a few guys a couple games ago, and it kind of took me back. And he has some ways to go as far as allowing his body to mature. His game is going to develop as he explores. He’s going to be pretty special if he continues to work and allow himself to be coached the way he has so far. He’s just an amazing kid.”

“Yeah, it’s been great for me, I’ve experienced a lot things,” says Davis. “I’ve just got to try and stay humble and keep moving.”

That, in a nutshell, is Anthony Davis. He’s going to outwork everyone in the gym, take his coaches’ words to heart, and do his best to not let any of his successes go to his head.

While the team’s fan base may be overcome with anticipation to see their newest All-Star acquisition in action, you have to question if the club wouldn’t be better served exercising more patience with Bynum’s first in-game appearance, especially with nine games versus non-playoff teams on the slate in the season’s first month including New Orleans, Toronto (twice), Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland (twice), Phoenix and Charlotte.

The New Orleans Hornets can’t ask for anything more.

Gordon was nearly a member of the Phoenix Suns, of course, before the Hornets matched the four-year offer sheet Gordon signed with Phoenix. Though disappointed at first, Gordon is now excited about what’s going on in New Orleans.
