The Rockets had a fairly similar season to last year being a late lottery team but being above .500 although the team at the end of this season is very different to last season with Brooks, Battier and Ariza now all moved on. The team will have cap space this summer so may well look for some experience to assist Martin, Scola and co. Houston also has a lot of guys on rookie deals due to Daryl Morey’s deals so I’d assume they will look to rebuild this way as well and also having extra first round picks this year and next gives Morey a lot of options to make the appropriate moves.

A decision on what to do with Yao will have to be made unless Yao takes that out of their hands.

I’d suggest that a very close look at their young talent is needed and they decide who they need to keep and who is tradeable and then maybe look to make one big FA sigining or try to pull off a major trade which could get them back towards 50 wins and still allow the younger players to continue to develop.

why would the rockets trade 3 young high potential players (budinger, patterson, lee) for dahtay jones who is a finished product and biyombo who might just be overrated???
