I feel like the Rockets are full court pressing them with the PGs to see who will really get after it on defense. They know Harden will give them enough offense from the backcourt so they are trying to find a defensive PG to pair up with him.

MCW has 6 first half turnovers. Hou is bullying Phi, Greg Smith’s form is hideous. he leans so far back on his freethrows lol. A lot of trapping by both teams.

My Take…
Even though Carter-Williams has many turnovers, I think he has looked okay thus far. He has gotten to the free throw line a lot and has converted many of his drives to the basket. He did this inconsistently at Syracuse so it is encouraging to see this in his very first summer league game. The jump shot needs work but that’s no surprise.
Terrence Jones, Patrick Beverly, James Anderson and Greg Smith have really impressed me.
Honeycutt, Casper Ware, Jack Cooley, Michael Eric, Tour’e Murry, and Arnett Moultrie have shown flashes
Khalif Wyatt, Travis Leslie, and James Southerland have not looked good at all
Rodney Williams has had some powerful finishes too
Surprising that Vander Blue and Isaiah Canaan have not gotten in yet

Final Thoughts: MCW has game but has to work on securing the ball, jump shot, and decision making. Terrance Jones was aggressive and looked good overall, Beverly was great defensively and offensively with his attitude, quickness, and aggressiveness. Rodney Williams has a place on he 76ers with his athletic ability and effort, Wyatt, southerland, and Moultrie were underwhelming.

He’s got a lot of flaws right now (TO’s and Jump shot to name a few) but he’s got great size, athleticism and an aggressive approach…
He needs to play 20 plus minutes per game and the coach needs to let him work through his mistakes…
I think Rodney Williams makes the Team and eventually makes his way on the court this year…
Wyatt wont make the team and I want to see more Arsalan Kazem but he fouls a lot for a F…

Does anybody know why Justin Holiday didn’t play?….it seems like they were in desperate need of some scoring from the wing and he is the best one they have on their summer league roster.
As for MCW this is what you should expect from him….he will be crazy inconsistent and turn the ball over a lot. He will take some bad shots then the next time down the court make a great move. He is certainly a project but he may be forced to start if the Sixers don’t sign a free agent PG.
