OhCanada-ParticipantShould be a good one, I think Celtics will focus on shutting down James. Bosh and House will have big games Celtics win 95-92.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Heat don’t look very good in the half-court. While Bosh has the ball in the post, both Wade and LeBron just stand there.
They’re both going to have to get better playing off/without the ball.

SteroidParticipantYeah I noticed that with only watching a little of the first quarter. The Heats offense looks very stagnant. It will be easy to defend them if wade and lebron don’t move without the ball.
KG looks rusty as hell. Oh, how I would love to watch healthy, not even prime KG, shut down Bosh. Lol. It would be a fun matchup to watch, nonetheless…

IndianaBasketballParticipantWade and LeBron are damn near the same player, except LeBron is better. They’re just taking turns going one on one, while Boston is moving the ball.
The Celtics are playing GREAT D.

gregoden08ParticipantFor a big man who is 300 pounds, Big Baby moves his feet extremely well…No doubt in my mind that he could have been a star offensive tackle in the NFL.
Miami looking real sloppy and Boston is turning over the ball quite a bit as well.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron DEFINITELY looks like he’s holding back. He’s not good off of the ball, so when Wade and Bosh have it… He just stands there basically being irrellivant. He doesn’t have a complete game.
The Heat have three one on one players who are great in isolation. Getting them to move the ball and move without the ball is going to be like convincing a 40 year old to quit smoking. That offense is stagnate.

SteroidParticipantThey’ll probably feel more energized when they play their opening game at home. It is not easy to open your first season game at Boston no matter how good the players are you have on your team. Even though Boston wasn’t too good at home recently, they used to be an elite home team, and they might return to that this year.
And I’m sure LeBron is waiting for his "moment" to take over the game… >.>

IndianaBasketballParticipantHanding the ball over to LBJ would mean putting House, Jones, Bosh and Big Z on the floor. Giving him the ball at the top of the key, spreading out and sending him a pick. He’ll dribble the entire clock and either shoot or pass.
We’ve seen that and where it gets you.
Keep LeBron, Wade and Bosh on the floor together and make them realize that it takes ball movement. Wade and LeBron have to move the ball even if it doesn’t get them the assist. They need to stop stopping ball movement… I don’t care how great they are.

SteroidParticipantBut you can tell just from the halfcourt offense that something has to change. Knocking down shots will help, but the Heat will make their money from defensive rebounding, turnovers and fastbreaks. I doubt they will be a good halfcourt team considering the talent they have. Just giving the ball to either LeBron or Wade in iso isn’t going to work every time.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Celtics are running them off of the floor.
I can understand a poor game offensively, but the Celtics are running a clinic on showing them how to move the ball and get other players involved. For some reason, LeBron and Wade think that getting people involved means them dribbling the entire shot clock and getting the assist. As I’ve been saying for months… Those aren’t necesarily good assists!

MkadozaParticipantIndiana’s right. they just need to learn to move without the ball, and also, where to position themselves off of one-on-one moves. Bosh needs to set some picks, Bron needs to give and go everytime.
In terms of becoming complete basketball players, this team will force them to work on their weaknesses. Its like the Olympics, where every ball dominant player was on the team. Wheres Coach K?

They can adapt and reform their games to compliment eachother, but how they have played throughout their careers shore isnt gonna fly, at least for this first half. OhCanada-ParticipantWell they dont compliment eachotherm thats just the arsh truth. They can adapt and reform their games to compliment eachother, but how they have played throughout their careers shore isnt gonna fly, at least for this first half. I expect Spoelstra to give them hell in the half time and this 1st 2 qaurters lapse to be farts in the wind.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron and Wade don’t compliment each other at all. They’ll have to learn to. It won’t be as smooth as a transition as Pierce and Allen.
This is like pairing Jordan with Jordan, not Jordan with Pippen.

The Heat can still win BTW….

MkadozaParticipantLebron is a good enough passer to make it work. In all honesty, the Heat have gotten shots. They just havent made shit. But the defense will be there. The fastbreaks will be there. The assists for Wade and Lebron will be there. Once they learn to get shots off of one another… this will be a tough team to stop.

Is Dwayne Wade willing to catch and shoot, or will he always feel the need to put the ball on the floor himself?
I think Bosh will be fine. It’s LeBron and Wade that’ll have to make the huge adjustment.

MkadozaParticipantScarecrow, why would I answer a question that clearly loaded to your point. Thats what we like to call in the journalism business "leading". Republicans do it quite well. Take this for example.
What would the score be if the Heat shot equal percentages to the Celts?
I’ll answer for you so you dont have to do the math. If teh Heat shot 45% from the field, 33% from 3 and 100% from the line, it would be 49-45.
See how by changing an important variable I can completely change the reality of the situation?
Sorry, I just dislike how your logic works and giving you my honest question to you loaded, bogus quesion.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThis is LeBron’s 8th season and he still has no post game. He has no go-to move. His in between game is probably below average as well. He’s either a long three or drive to the basket. His jumper looks very good today, but he’s still a streaky shooter in my opinion.
LeBron is a prime example of just how far freak athleticism can take you. You take that body and athleticism from him and he’s an average player.

I think this game is foreshadowing what’s going to happen in the playoffs against good teams even though they will run the bad teams off the court during the season. The Heat will get better. They definitely can’t get worse unless they get injuries.

MkadozaParticipantThats not really true, he attempted quite a few fade aways, one dribble pull ups, catch and shoots on cuts.. ect. Thats what people call settling for Lebron. But hes a good shooter. Not great, but he’s good.

IndianaBasketballParticipant"Lebrons doing well…besides turnovers but, its the other two that arent doing too much.."

MkadozaParticipantIs it me, or does Rondo look bigger? Looks like he gained at least 10 pounds of muscle.
