MakarosParticipantIn three games since Bogut has returned, Barnes has seen his shots per game and his playtime increase.
I firlmy believe he was the biggest victim of the “smallball” that the Dubs had to play while Bogut was on the sidelines and his stats will soar from now on.
He has averaged 15.7ppg in those three games in 10.4 fg/game and those numbers will, in my opinion, continue to rise.
I know Damien Lillard has pretty much taken the ROY award home but still, a rookie starting for the 5th best team in the West and contributing is pretty remarkable. If the Blazers don’t make the playoffs and Barnes’ stats continue to rise, could we see him sneak up and steal the ROY?
P.S: His three uber-highlight dunks help his purpose and fame obviously !!

TRC1991Participantthis is a joke right? Damians averaging 18 and 6 a game and would have to have an epic collapse (that might not even delete his chances) to lose the ROY award

omphalosParticipantAll I know is that Barnes getting more shots and being involved in the play more can only be a good thing, he’s going to be a much better two-way player than Klay Thompson.

omphalosParticipantAlso, remember when people were talking ish about Barnes not being athletic in the months leading up the draft? I gave myself carpal tunnel telling people he was still athletic but the college game restricted him, now he has arguably the best dunks seen from a rookie since Blake Griffin.
