gopack10ParticipantAs a lifelong Atlanta sports fan, it just seems like we can’t buy a break. And I know this might be considering whining from a fan of a team with the #1 seed but why couldn’t the Nets lose or the Pacers win last night?
We own that Brooklyn pick and the difference is at minimum four spots (11 to 15) and potentially more than that if the Nets won the coin flip with Miami and/or the ping pong balls went our way.
Not to mention the weirdness of the Sefolosha thing, that I’m still mad at him about. Not mad that he did anything wrong, just mad that he and Pero weren’t back at the Hotel with the rest of the team.

juves4783Participantweren’t the nets playing the magic and the pacers playing the grizz (who were in a game that determined seeding)? what did you expect to happen?

B-ball fanParticipantPhilly fans also have to be frustrated that is is very possible they end up with only one first rounder, which looked highly unlikely earlier in the season. Miami finishing in the bottom 10 was unexpected, as was OKC doing so poorly.
Other teams that had tough conclusions to the season were the Bucks and Spurs. Bucks were unlucky that the Raptors couldn’t hang on to the third seed, with Jae Crowder’s game winner and the Hawks scrubs collapsing giving the Bulls the third seed.
And the Spurs have no one to blame but themselves for blowing a shot at the 2nd seed in the West. Spurs would have had the 2nd easiest road to the Finals of any team in the West, but now they have the 2nd hardest. They will have road series against LAC, the winner of Houston/Dallas and probably GS, when they could have had a home series against Dallas, a home series against the winner of Houston/Memphis and a road series against GS. And SA’s loss increases GS’s odds of making the WCF, since LAC would have been the 5th seed if SA won, rather than the less formidable Grizzlies. Huge loss by SA and huge win by NO to get a postseason berth.

omphalosParticipantYeah the difference between the #10 and #15 pick isn’t that big in this year’s draft, especially for a team in win-now mode.
