lol

butidonthavemoneyWell, this isn’t about Luke Babbitt, this is about certain people who could not be reasoned with.
But yes, I believe that Hayward will be better.

llperezno your white draft pick sucks, no yours does. LOL. Going by the boxscore, niether guy is exactly tearing it up. Hayward shooting 1-5 from the field with more turnovers then points is probably not the best opportunity to say how much he is outplaying babbit.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 6:42pm #411174
butidonthavemoney"Hayward shooting 1-5 from the field with more turnovers then points"
Which Hayward are you watching?

butidonthavemoneyThe ironic thing is that thebobster is a Blazer fan. Haha
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 6:46pm #411177
llperezwell, when i posted that he was 1-5 with 3 turnovers and 2 points. But i guess he just hit some ft’s since then.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantAre you guys trying to kill the last of a Dying Breed White American NBA Players?lol
Babbitt & Hayward are 2 different types of players…In 2 years they will be quality starters, but right now they will struggle becuz they both have alot to learn…There will be times this year when they’re score in double figures..I love the fact that they both can put the ball on the floor, shoot well from the perimeter and are competitive..
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 6:53pm #411182
butidonthavemoneyNobody seriously said that Hayward is outplaying Babbitt.
Come on man. I shouldn’t have to explain to you that thebobster was joking…
Way to bring us down.

PlatypusParticipantIs Babbit playing the 3 or the 4 more?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 10/11/2010 - 6:56pm #411185
butidonthavemoneyBabbitt played power forward for 6 or 7 minutes.
Couldn’t stay in front of Jeremy Evans.

And like last time I will disqualify myself.
McDunkin, it’s time you knew…
I actually beat you last time. I had 13 votes and you and OJJ both had 2. I gave it to you since OJJ won Most Creative.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI think Hayward will be the better player. Babbitt will probably be the better scorer/shooter, but I think Hayward has a more well-rounded/all-around game. Babbitt is a tweener to me, while Hayward will be able to play both wing spots and handle the ball a little. Neither player is a very good defender, but Hayward is better there as well.
There’s no doubt Hayward will have the better rookie season. Babbitt won’t even be in the Blazers’ rotation.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 4:48am #411281
PlatypusParticipantWho do you compare both to? Babbits also most likely to play the 4
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 10:59am #411335
Mr. 19134ParticipantDo you Jazz fans really think that Gordon Hayward will be better then Xavier Henry?
And I do think Hayward is the better then Babbitt but they are different players despite both being white.
Haywards game reminds me a lot of Josh Childress for some reason. I kno that seems odd but there you have it. Hayward is a pure wingman while Babbit is a pure forward. Babbit will be a great shooter off the bench in this league tho.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 11:15am #411341
butidonthavemoneyHenry and Hayward are different players. I’d say Henry has more potential, but on the Jazz Hayward is clearly a better fit.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 11:31am #411345
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantHenry was a VERY GOOD player and came from a good team/school and was not a trouble maker at all…He’s a great shooter and could have been the perfect replacement for Wes Mattews(way over paid)
Now where’s the Heather Hayward Sighting Thread…??? Mcdunkin, If you Gif it ,they will come….
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/12/2010 - 12:46pm #411364
butidonthavemoneyHayward is better at moving with or without the ball than either Babbitt or Henry. He is also more intelligent and a better passer.
The complex Utah Jazz system is all about movement, screens and passing. Hayward won’t be a superstar, but he’s a perfect fit for Utah.
Frankly, I still think we made a huge mistake not drafting Cole Aldrich.

IndianaBasketballParticipant"Frankly, I still think we made a huge mistake not drafting Cole Aldrich."
I agree with you. I thought the Jazz should’ve drafted Aldrich as well.
I didn’t understand why so many people on this site were low on Aldrich. He’s going to be a very good defender, rebounder and role player. He looked good vs the Heat the other night.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he became the starter for the Thunder this season.

sheltwon3Participantright now I am looking like a genious for my knocks on Hayward. Waste of pick. He may wind up a sold role player for Jazz though because they tend to know how to use their white players. That is not to offend but the truth. The Jazz was probably the best place for Hayward to go to have a chance to play.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantBut Henry would have been a great pick too…we can argue Hayward being a better fit for the team but on talent alone Henry trumps Hayward by a mile…and Babbit ain’t a Bum either…he would have made better sense in Golden State then in Utah or Portland though…still though he was the suprise no pick at 6th…Udoh though??? I liked him too but much later than 6th…

"don’t act dumb when it comes to how Utah plays and how things are set up man."
IDK what you where trying to imply.. So what does Utah do that allows white guys to succeed in their system.. If im correct the best Jazz ever was Karl Malone (a black guy).. I just think your comment is stupid, because I feel that it takes a high IQ player to succeed in the Jazz system.. Are you implying that Utah playes a "white guy" style of basketball??? How are things set up?? Maybe im being naive, but it seems that you are throwing out that ***GASP*** dreaded race card….

PureshooterParticipantIt’s probably a little early to be making any judgments on any draft picks, although I do think Wall and Cousins are looking great early on. The thing I’ve noticed about Hayward is that he has very good quickness and speed for a 6’9" player, can hit open shots and lets the game come to him. He doesn’t force the issue, which will make it much easier for him to get court time. He isn’t great at any one thing, but he’s a good well-rounded player.
