pintar23ParticipantI heard NBA analysts talking about how since big baby had such a big playoff hes going to be worth a lot of money. In my opinion i still they he is an average player. He played well against the Bulls who have no big men and against the Magic he went against Lewis where he had a size advantage and utilized it well. So if his stock is so high right now do the Celtics try and trade him and get some draft picks? Because they need some young talent and i think they could find a diamond in the rough here in this draft

llperezconsidering the current financial situation with most teams and how everyone is looking to save money, my guess is Davis gets between 2-3 mill per. He is nothing more then a backup who is making the most of playing on a team without much inside talent once KG went down.

rose2dabullzParticipantThey cannot trade him, unless it’s a sign and trade..and I agree with you, I wouldn’t pay more than the MLE for him, I don’t think he will get that much better than where he is at now

RickyRubio9ParticipantGlen “Big Baby” Davis is actually a free agent and they rather keep him since he is young and now everyone believes he has some talent and potential. He already said that he thinks he can be an All-Star in the league. I’m not sure if he’s restricted or not though. If I were the C’s I’d keep him because K.G is getting older and having someone like K.G mentoring Baby can only come out with a positive effect and he wouldn’t have the pressure to start so he’d still come off the bench. They’d have to resign him and then someone would have to offer something really good to get him.

BlackMamba24ParticipantI dont think they can let him go especially with the injury issues they have in the frontcourt with KG and Leon Powe going down. If they let him leave they could be in a big issue next year with the uncertainty of the injured players

sheltwon3ParticipantHe played well and showed great skills for his size. he also was able to contain Howard some when they played because of his big wide body and maybe Cleveland will over pay for him.

fastdanParticipantSo you say trade him in order to get a shot at landing some young hidden talent? Isn’t that exactly what bigbaby is?

Nico4nicolasParticipantGlenn Davis isn’t the most talented player but he got some talent and look at the contract Brian Cardinal get because he did one average season, that’s insane! You can’t say about the next contract he will get but he can be useful as a backup in both PF and C positions. He would make a decent starter in few years so why not keeping him until KG quits the game.

If your saying Glen Davis is so good then why trade him for “talent” when he is young and talented ??
Think before you post !

NYK2010ParticipantClose to midlevel I can see, he’s worth more than 2 million. He can shoot, rebound, defend a lil more importantly who else do the Celtics have on their bench.

Knicksboy34ParticipantI think he’s a decent 6th man..but i wouldnt have him start. He could be worth like
4 years/ 17 mil

kotyParticipanti like Glen Davis and i hope the Celtics keep him. He proved he is a solid player in the time that he was given and he has to have some talent (u have to when u were consistantly dropping 15 plus points in the playoffs.) All he needed was a little time to prove his worth. Also, i thought Rashard Lewis would have destroyed him, but Davis held his own. He will be very good off the bench because he can come in for either Perkins or Garnett.

IndianaBasketballParticipantGlen Davis is a keeper. He improved A LOT this past season & made HUGE buckets consistently in the playoffs. He now has the confidence that he can be an extremely good player in this league. I hear he’s working his ass off this summer & has already shed quite a few pounds.

gatorheelsParticipantThe Celtics can’t afford Big Baby. Either sign & trade him or he will leave….simple as that. Glen Davis is a solid starting PF for anyteam. There are a ton of teams that could use his services. He will get paid.

Knicksboy34ParticipantWhat do you think of Big Baby to Memphis?

apb540ParticipantThat would be a nice fit for them since they are building a young team anyway.

j1232eParticipantwill get a raise to 5-7 mill a year. He has proved he can consistantly hit his jump shot.
