Nowitzki will go off for 45…. If the Mavs are down by 20 or more, Brendan Haywood will commit a flagrent 2, and get ejected… JJ Barea will break Eric Maynor’s ankles… Jason kid will have at least 10 7 and 7… Tyson Chandler will get 5 blocks… Durant will dunk on Haywood again… Daquan Cook will hit 3 threes if he plays 20 or more minutes… and Kendrick Perkins will play less than 25 minutes. You guys have any predictions?

OK, here are the ones I agree with.

Nowitzki for 45, Jason Kidd 10/7/7, Durant Dunk on Haywood, Daquan Cook hits 3 3’s.

    The ones that won’t happen:

JJ Barea breaks Eric Maynor’s ankles.

The rest for me could be up in the air. Here are some of my own predictions:

If the thunder win it will be because of transition play, Westbrook will either have a major slump or put up a double-double, If the thunder win by double digits Westbrook will have had a triple-double, There will at least one season ending injury in this game, Jason Terry will either over 1/2 of his 3’s or hit less than two, this will be the lostest scoring game in this series, it may come down to a buzzer-better to win the game, Durant will have a 40 point game or a double-double.

What do you think of mine, this is actually a very interesting forum topic, very origanal, good job aamir53.

Heres my game prediction… Mavs by 6.

Durant will either play very well, play well, play ok, play badly or be completely terrible.  Nowitzki will either play very well, play well, play ok, play badly or be completely terrible.  Westbrook will either play….

But seriously, Dallas takes it and Nowitzki scores 30 points or so. Durant will score 30 but turn the ball over at least 6 times. I agree with your Perkins prediction aamir.

I think Nick Collison holds on for dear life when guarding Dirk, pratically bear hugging him just as he did in the last game.

Shawn Marion will have a good game.  If he has a GREAT game then the Mavs will win.

Russell Westbrook will keep both teams in the game.  He’s like a cross between Allen Iverson, John Starks, and Vernon Maxwell.

Jason Kidd needs to control the tempo for the Mavs to win with a line of 14 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds (or more).

If Peja, JJ, and Terry go ice cold and chuck up bad shots then the Thunder have a chance.  If those combine for 5 or more 3’s then the Mavs will win.

Look for the Mavs to concentrate on controlling the boards.  Chandler needs to get at least 12 rebounds with Marion getting 8 or more.

If Westbrook has more than 10 assists and fewer than 4 turnovers then the Thunder will have a chance.

The Mavs need to take Durant out of the game.  If Durant gets hot early then the Thunder can make a game of it.

If Perkins and Ibaka can combine for 25 points then I like the Thunder’s chances.

At times, with a lineup of Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, Harden, and Nick Collison, Nick Collison will be the best player on the floor.

In order for the Thunder to win Durant will need at least 8 more free throw attempts than Dirk.

In one of the most bizarre playoff series for shooting guards ever, either Thabo or Stevenson (or both) will score 6 or fewer points.  Thabo, Stevenson, and Bogans are still alive as starting 2 guards.  Those guys couldn’t score 30 in an open gym (combined).  Honorable mention goes to Tony Allen who started at shooting guard for the Grizzlies who turned out to be the 5th best team in the playoffs (for bonus points the Grizzlies started the offensively-inept Sam Young).  I thought that one of the qualifications to be a starting shooting guard was having the ability to, uh, shoot.

The Mavs might win and the Heat might also win in 5.  The league needs both teams rested up for a 7 game NBA Finals slug fest which will feature at least 3 of the games going into overtime (and possibly 2 overtimes).  The NBA needs to make as much money as it can heading into this lockout.

My Thunder’s run is over tonight. Dallas has just had the better matchups in the series
