Rumors have Cavs involved in 3 team trade where they would end up with  1st & 2nd picks in the draft.

14mill TPE to Det for 8th pick & Rip

    4th & 8th to Minny for the 2nd.

They say the hold up is Det wants more for the 8th pick beyond Cap relief

If i was Det i would try to clear as much Cap as i can. Maybe get an unprotected ’12 pick from the Cavs. Also the Cavs could throw in JJHickson.

This deal will happen? fact or fiction.

I dont think they need the trade to get williams, I think he’ll fall to 4

He is not a 3or4 has no real position. T-wolves have that guy in Beasley & Love at the 4 They need a G or a C & I think they will take Kanter Who I like better than Williams Kanter is almost 7ft with great size post skills & a higher ceiling Him & love would make a great low-post combo.

Utah at 3 has favors,al-jeff,Milsap,&Okur. They need a GF Brandon Knight Has thre Ability to play 2 if needed & could replace Harris who isnt lighting up the league.I see him as Jason Terry 2.0 & He would be a better fit for Utah Than Williams.

So That Leaves Williams Falling to 4 to the cavs where Is most likley the best fit for Him & the cavs

If the cavs wolves pistons trade were to go through I think it would be for Williams and Kanter not Williams and Irving.

Irving isn’t a trancendent PG.  He’s not going to revolutionize the game or take a 20 win team to 45 wins the next season.  He’s a very nice PG but he’s not a savior.  The Cav’s could look to get a PG in next years lottery… They also have Baron Sessions and Gibson already at the PG spot.  Sessions contract is very affordable and he’s a starting caliber PG so I see no reason to trade him.

Kanter can start right now at center for almost any team in the league.  He’s not a koufous or fesenko.  He is a skilled, strong and athletic big man who you can go to in the post.  A Kanter Hickson Williams front line should be good enough to handle any front court in the league once they get a few notches under their belts.  There’s no replacement for displacement as far as championship front courts go.

I think Irving ends up third to the JAZZ.

I certainly hope you guys have an in with Cleveland and Minny’s front office. I have it on good authority (me) that the Jazz have Irving, Williams and Kanter on the draft board, in that order.

So let Irving fall to the Jazz. Please. While he’s not as athletic as Rose or Wall, he’s a better point guard at this stage, and a better shooter as well. We’d love him. If not Irving, please let Williams fall. There will be a monster roar at the ESA in Salt Lake if that happens, even more than if Irving falls though I’d rather have Irving, who is a franchise making point guard.

But if Kanter is there at three, well…..I’m just pleased as punch. It’s a no lose situation for the Jazz. Williams would play 3 for the Jazz, though no doubt he’ll have some struggles chasing the quicker 3’s around the court. He’ll make up for it at the offensive end, where he’ll simply punish those quicker forwards and make them wish they were inactive.

The only downside of drafting Irving is that the Jazz might not draft Jimmer if that’s the case.

Do not count on the Jazz passing Williams up. Not for a second.

That would be a horrendous trade for Detroit, give the Pistons a break. They certainly need it. I don’t see that happening. Some Cleveland fan probably started the rumor.
