It’s been 2 preseason games and a summer league, can everybody just stop calling him a bust and questioning him? I mean, seriously CHILL!

yes and no. Yes in that nobody should overreact to a handful of games. However, we are talking about a guy who has proven nothing at the nba level and has some legit question marks. People compare him to grant hill, well hill was a 20-5-5 player his rookie year. I dont expect that from turner, but we need to see some signs that he will be decent.

The biggest thing i saw from his summer leauge and i have noticed people point out about his pre-season is that while he is a great dribbler, he doesnt get anywhere. I saw him dribbling around in summer legue but never get any seperation or breaking people down. If you are not a great shooter and you strength is dribbling and breaking people down, well you might want to be able to do that pretty consistently if you want people to give you the benefit of the doubt.

ur an idiot. U say we cant say Evan Turner isnt a bust cuz he hasnt played an NBA game…than how can we aactually call him one? makes no sense. ur not a bust until 3 or 4 years go by and uve done nothing. Give Turner 2 years and hel be great

zeke, am i the idiot? Not sure becasue your comment about calling him a bust was never said by either of us so hard to tell who you are talkign to. You are right, he cant be a bust until a few years down the road.

Way too early to call him a bust, but personally he hasn’t impressed me so far this whole preseason. That one steal Rondo got on Turner could’ve totally been avoided. He’ll definitely get into a rhythm eventually, but so far he hasn’t been stunning.

He’s overrated to me. I was never really high on him. I thought he would be average at best. You also have to look at the fact that its just preseason and he’s only a rookie. He’s not going to be as good as people think.

true it is early but whats it say when in the melo trade winds they went from offering iggy to turner mhm doesnt that seem like the sixers were trying to get rid of him cause they already realized theyd made a mistake

Just look at how John Wall played the other night. He’s younger, but he’s just come in and taken over Washington by storm. I don’t ever think there will be any question as to whether or not Evan Turner should have been taken first. Personally, I think that Philly should have taken DeMarcus Cousins.

I don’t think that Evan Turner will be the impact player that everyone thought he would be. Everyone was comparing him to Brandon Roy, and that’s just not going to happen. I won’t say bust, but he’s certainly not the talent they thought they were getting.

 Remember this time last year Steph Curry was only averaging like 9 points shooting like 35% from the field in preseason and everybody was calling him a bust too.
