IknoBall12ParticipantI jus read and article about jan vesely and they coined him the european blake griffin. Does anybody know anythin about him? And if so please explain or talk about what makes him good

ilike.panochasParticipantIts a little bit exaggerated, he doesnt jump like Griffin (then again very few does), but he does run the floor EXTREMELY well, probably as well as any PF ive seen in a while. He would be lethal in an up-and-down/fast pace type offense simply because very few opposing PFs has his type of speed. He needs to work on his post game, but his frame 6’11 and his ability to run up and down the court is tantalizing.

omphalosParticipantIt’s pretty amazing that Griffin is already used as a benchmark for athletic PFs in comparisons. He’s a rookie!

CodySLCParticipantI love to watch players that are so good that they get to have some fun while out on the court.

SwatLakeCityParticipantDon’t pay attention to what any European people say about other European players. They are very biased about them. When Dirk came out they probably said he was the European version of Larry Bird

McDunkinEuropeanBaller only likes Greek players…He could care less about the rest Europe

SwatLakeCityParticipantThen why does he call himself "European Baller"? According to what you said, McDunkin, he should call himself "Greek Baller". But seriously this sounded just like one his posts just because of the title. Heck, he probably wrote that article you read or at least is one of its biggest fans.

RafterParticipantThe excitement he brings, is Griffin-like but their games are very different, he’s one of the more exciting players that play in Europe. Thus people call him the ‘European Blake Griffin’ due to the excitement he brings when he dunks.
Vesely is more like an American player then your typical skinny, long European jumpshooter. He’ll have more success in the NBA then staying in Europe, because his game fits very well in an athletic environment as opposed to the slower speed of European basketball, i’m not saying Euro ball is slow but compared to the NBA, it’s slower but more fundamental.
I agree with Xavier, he reminds me a lot of Kirilenko but he’s seems a little bit more polished then Andrei did as a prospect. I also see Jerebko and Ariza in him also

uri1411Participanthe is not griffin, but he is very athletic for an european. i really like his game, he will fit well in the nba. i think he will be better then valanciunas and motjeunas
