Espn.com's Mcdonald All-American Comparisons

Bradley Beal - Ray Allen

Austin Rivers - Kobe Bryant

Michael Gilchrist - Grant Hill

Michael Carter Williams - Rip Hamilton

Anthony Davis - Kevin Garnett

Quinn Cook - Darren Collison

James Mcadoo - James Worthy

Myck Kabongo - Patty Mills

Lebryan Nash - Ron Artest

Johnny O'Bryant - Emeka Okafor

Marquis Teague - Devin Harris

Adonis Thomas - Quincy Pondexter

Rakeem Christmas - Hakeem Warrick

PJ Hairston - Paul Pierce

These were a few of the comparisons. What do you guys think?

My thoughts: I think Lebryan Nash looks exactly like Ron Artest haha. I like the Grant Hill/Gilchrist comparison because of the quality of competitors both are. I think Anthony Davis has a little more perimeter skills than KG did but like the comparison for their abilities to play inside/out offensively and defensively. Austin Rivers as Kobe? Maybe a lil premature but we will have to wait and see.

If they live up to those

You should probably give them a high and a low comparison. If they live up to those comparisons then it will be one of the best drafts ever next year.

I'd compare Bradley Beal more

I'd compare Bradley Beal more to Eric Gordon than Ray Allen.

This must be the greatest

This must be the greatest class in the history of basketball. You have like 6 Hall of Famers in there.

Bradley Beal=Jordan

Bradley Beal=Jordan Crawford.

He's no Ray Allen. He'll be good, but he's not a very good shot creator watching him play. He's a limited ball-handler, and he's only got solid quickness and athleticism.

Beal seems to create his shot

Beal seems to create his shot pretty well after watching some of his H.S games. Most of his Threes are off the dribble from him creating, thats probably why the early and even alot of the comparisions now is Eric Gordan( same thing i thought when i first watched him play)

Jordan Crawford could/can

Jordan Crawford could/can create off the dribble too, but Ray Allen? Eric Gordon? He's not nearly as athletic, strong or as quick as Eric Gordon. Even at the same stage Gordon had those advantages. And he doesn't have the all-around game Allen does. Allen was a very good athlete and a good ball-handler and passer in his earlier days, besides his obvious shooting skills. Beal is mostly a "shooter scorer" who does damage with his jumper, but doesn't play great D, have great athleticism, or make a big impact passing the ball.

Crawford was a great scorer in HS and early in his college career at Indiana, and I see alot of the same skills and physical tools in Beal.

He might no have the exact

He might no have the exact same qualities ( no one ever does ) but he's the closest game wise then any other player. And he can definatly produce in the same ways ( jumpers and drives to the basket) he's very good at both even if he's not as athletic. Jordan Crawford couldnt shoot as well and i may be wrong but i dont think he was in the same talent pool as Beal at the same stage.
