    Well, let’s see how many negatives I pick up for this… Please tell me how I can improve the trades or what is wrong with them.  Any critisicm is much needed.

    The Nuggets get 31mil in cap relief along with solid young talent and building blocks in Aaron Brooks, Patrick Patterson, and Chase Budinger and some draft picks.

    ****This trade can be done during the regular season but if not, it can be done in the offseason and the Rockets can also throw in Courtney Lee and Terrence Williams, since they can’t be traded during the regular season****

    The Rockets receive much needed size, a superstar player, and solid perimeter defender once Battier is gone.

    The only problem is Denver could get more moving Melo, Nene and Affalo all seperately then together.

    Very true.  But I don’t think any other team can give them this much cap relief nor young talent.  TWill, Courtney Lee, Patrick Patterson, and Budinger is a lot of good young talent.  I don’t know how many teams can give them 4 good young players

    So Denver would send probably their best 3 players on their team and only get 2 guys who start on the Rockets. One is Brooks who is having an off year and they have Billups and Lawson at point guard. The other is Battier who is pretty much just a defender and is getting old. Budinger and Patterson are alright prosects but they dont really have that all star potential. And those picks wont be that high if the Rockets have Carmello on their team.. Their is a reason Denver is -12 in this trade…

    2nd best trade besides the nets/ since they would have 2 budding star points, they could trade one for a pick or another player with upside. Last year @ the deadline the Rockets could have had Amare, put did’nt want to approve his physical with concerns over his knees. So this could work for both teams.

    Besides Brooks, the others are average. Patterson is alright, Budinger is really average. Besides the cap space isn’t good if not too many people wanna play for you. Doing this deal leaves Denver with cap space and NO talent. They would be better off moving all in different deals, get picks/young players back from different teams to have a better chance of success.

    Like Cleveland and Toronto found out, cap space means nothing if you don’t have solid building blocks.

    To be honest;

    All the work needed to get Carmelo just doesn’t seem worth it; I can’t see him staying here anyways.
    It’d be nice to have him or Granger though;

    I think Denver would like this better.  Along the lines of what Knicksboy1 was saying, Denver is a small market, which struggles to build a team via cap space and free agency.  Instead they need to stockpile young talent and draft picks (which would also be required to go to the Nuggets in this trade) to build from within.

    In this scenario, Denver gets some cap relief but also 3 young pieces to help build around along with Ty Lawson, and the draft picks to rebuild.  The Nuggets also get rid of Chauncey’s contract, leaving Al Harrington’s as the only horrible one still on the books.  Houston gets a superstar and a veteran point guard, and they could potentially get a big in another deal like this:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4b4lrdo

    Houston looks good:

    C: Kaman, Miller

    PF: Scola, Hayes (FA), Patterson

    SF: Anthony, Williams

    SG: Martin

    PG: Billups, Lowry, Smith

    Denver can rebuild:

    C: Nene (player option for next year), Birdman, Ely (FA), Yao (FA)

    PF: K-Mart (FA), Harrington, Hill, Williams (FA), Jeffries (FA)

    SF: Budinger, Forbes (FA), Balkman

    SG: Afflalo (FA), Smith (FA) Lee

    PG: Lawson, Carter (FA)

    Clippers finally have a 3 if they can convince Battier to stay, if not cap relief!

    C: Jordan (FA), Smith (FA)

    PF: Griffin, Cook (FA), Diogu (FA)

    SF: Battier (FA), Gomes, Aminu

    SG: Gordan, Butler (FA), Warren

    PG: Davis, Brooks (FA), Bledsoe
