My god…that is the worst comparison I’ve ever seen. A tougher/bigger Mehmet Okur because he has solid touch from 15 feet like Okur, but he’s not really much of a diffensive presence.

Okur is legit 7 footer. Kanter is only 6’9 and there is no way he is a center in college or pros. Okur is a center. So your comparison is wrong.

I see Enes Kanter as more of a Vlade Divac type if he reaches his full potential, even though Enes is a couple of inches shorter.

Kanter is a little over 6,10. Linas Kleiza is a combo forward. Okur is 6,10/6,11

They do play bball with shoes on…I’ve never understood the point of measureing height without shoes.

Is he being compared to Kleiza and Okur because they are both European guys? Its weird that every european guy is either compared to Bargnani, Okur, or Gasol. Is Kanter actually like those guys or is that comparison simply based on ethnicity?

Looking at him…theres no Okur there at all. Kanter is a monster. He dominated the summit game against a very good big guy in Sullinger, who is a potential big 10 POY next year.

I think I remember somebody saying Kanter has a little KG in him…Dont quote me on that but I recall that. Does he have a good post game? Is he just a high post guy like most european dudes? Is he tough?

We normally compare european players to other euros because there is a style of play which is similar between the players.

Watch Bargnani play and tell me theres a better comparison than Dirk.

In this case, however, I think Kanter seems more like a 20-10 type player. Less finesse and more of a power player.

I haven’t seen that much footage, but I would say Al Horford is the best comparison. Maybe Boozer?

from the footage that i seen he seems like an extremely good post player that can take it inside and have that face up game…i just wish he was a little bit more athletic cuz he seemed like he didnt really get off the floor that high….does anyone else see this?
if he was more athletic he would probably be the number draft pick…

He isn’t Okur or Kleiza cause he plays aggresive in the post and can’t shoot the three, even though he has a nice jump shot. I’d say a mix between Dejuan Blair and Luis Scola.

Kanter is not Kleiza at all, Kleiza being more of a combo forward. He’s not Okur either as Kanter is better under the basket, let’s say he’s a less athletic Horford with very good offensive instinct and shot.

Enes Kanter has an excellent post-up games and also high range shoot and he is a very good passer. So I think in offense side of game he is like KG. But in defence side some questions are arising. He has to concentrate on his defensive rebounding issues and blocking. From this view I think he will have 20-10-4 stats in NBA.

he is bigger and more aggresive than Luis Scola though, that’s why I think he’s a mix between Blair’s toughness and Scola’s shot and offensive game.

Kevin Love. I think he could have an impact similar to Kevin in college, and he is just a man child right now against anyone his age he has faced thus far, much like Kevin was at that level. They are both really smart players who move well without the ball, know how to box out for offensive rebounds and just use their body and footwork to score down low. Plus, he has a nice shooting form that will get him a couple baskets if defenders play off of him. I do not know if Enes will be as good as Kevin in college, as I predicted Kevin would be Pac-10 player of the year, and I do not think I put Enes as that in the SEC or amongst a player of the year finalist, but I do believe he has a great deal of potential and could eventually be seen as a better prospect than even Kevin was due to his size and solid build. I do not think conditioning will be much of an issue for him as it has been for Kevin, plus I do not believe he has that same walking time bomb injury concern that Kevin Love had and still has right now (a lot of knee issues in HS, and he did miss a lot of time this season as well). I think he could put numbers similar to DeMarcus Cousins, though his shot blocking numbers will not be the same. The one major separation between Kanter and Love is passing ability, but Kevin Love to me is the best passing big man in the game. Enes has a court sense that I am sure will make him a formidable college player and in the same draft range Kevin was in circa 2008.
