sammybuckeye13ParticipantBased on ESPN’s league standing. I think the top 5 and 9-14 are pretty realistic (and teams like the Cavs at #7), so just suspend your disbelief for some.
1. Clippers – Harrison Barnes
They drafted Aminu top 10 last year, but he looks like more of a role player to me, even as a starter. Can’t pass up on Barnes here.
2. Pistons – Enes Kanter
They’re stacked (albeit not tremendously talented) at the swing, and Kanter would be a good compliment to Greg Monroe down low.
3. 76ers – Perry Jones
It’s very hard to believe that they’re satisfied with their current front court rotation, and the possibility of a young core of Holiday/Turner/Jones would be too tempting to pass up.
4. Bobcats – Jared Sullinger
They’ve got some talented young guards (Augustin and Henderson, who needs some pt) and good swingmen (Jackson and Wallace). Tyrus Thomas is OK I guess. Considering Thomas’ defensive tenacity, Sullinger is a perfect fit.
5. Rockets – Fab Melo
If they get the 5th pick, God have mercy on the rest of the West cuz this team is damn talented. I saw Fab Melo play last night, and even though Cuse played Kutztown, watching Melo run the floor and sky to swat shots was downright riveting. Yao will be a question mark indefinitely and Brad Miller is not a long-term solution by any means, so I like the Syracuse freshman here.
6. T-Wolves – Alec Burks
This is impossible to predict and will be until draft day unless they land the top pick. Their core of swingmen looks to be depleted as they declined to pick up Brewer’s option, so they might be in the market for a SG, and I think Burks has more potential that scouts and analysts are letting on (I know J-Nixon will disagree).
7. Cavs – Kyrie Irving
Arguably the best PG in the draft falls into Cleveland’s lap. If they don’t win the lottery they’re not going to take a project (considering Gilbert’s ideology), so Irving’s their man.
8. Bucks – Donatas Motiejunas
They’re likely a playoff team, so best available here. Motiejunas is a versatile big men who would fit in very well.
9. Jazz – Terrence Jones
With Kirilenko’s contract expiring they’ll probably be in the market for a swing. Jones would inject a great deal of athleticism and power. Talent-wise, a Gordon Hayward/Terrence Jones tandem could be scary in a few years based on the variety of things (read: just about everything) that they’re able to do.
10. Suns – Kyle Singler
Two key swingmen (JRich and Hill) will be free agents at the end of the year, while they have Warrick, Frye and Lopez all locked up for at least 2 more years, so I like Singler here.
11. Raptors – Brandon Knight
Like seemingly every team they have a hole at the swing, but I think that Brandon Knight warrants being picked here due to lack of great talent at the 3 (Vesely and Bargnani would = Reggie Evans setting a new rebounding record). A backcourt of Knight and DeRozan would be electric in a couple years, and you have some good big man pieces.
12. Wizards – Jan Vesely
They’re in dire need of defensive intensity, although that’s not necessarily the first thing you look for when drafting in the lottery. Based on potential, I like Vesely here.
13. Knicks – Kris Joseph
Like Fields, he’s mistake-free and will no doubt be a solid contributor. If the season were to end today, they’d go semi-local for the second straight year.
14. Grizzlies – Jonas Valanciunas
The ridiculous contracts given to Gay and Conley suggest they won’t re-sign Randolph, who will certainly command north of $10 million (and they’ll have Mayo and Gasol to deal with soon enough). I like Jonas Valanciunas as a good starting over point.

Toronto16ParticipantIf you think Enes Kanter is getting picked that high, then your high.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI’ll bet you the Jazz will not get a lottery pick. This bad start is just a curse of bad luck. I mean, Utah is still figuring out their new team and they end up playing 3 hard teams in the league. Denver, Phoenix, and OKC. If you didn’t see the Thunder game then you missed so much. They played so well, much better than their first 2. So many teams have a bad start and then end up doing much better by the end of the season. So I bet does not get a lottery pick.
And no way Utah will lose AK. Yes his contract is expiring, but that does not mean that Utah will lose him. Most likely they will resign him for much cheaper (Around 7-10 million) and then use the rest to sign who ever would fit best with Utah. If Utah does land a lottery pick (Which I highly doubt) They would probably pick Alec Burks or William Buford, to start at the 2 because Bell shouldn’t be starting yet he is. (But what can you do when the only other player you have is Miles, whose good but doesn’t really deserve to start either) So since Utah will probably not get a lottery pick, they would probably go with Buford or Travis Leslie. Or they could draft a Center to replace Okur because of his injury and he may never return back to his old form. But their aren’t too many centers that are not lottery picks, so Utah will most likely draft a 2 guard I think.
Its way too early to do a mock draft. No way Knicks, Rockets, Grizz, Jazz, Bucks get a lottery pick.

SubZeroParticipantSeems like all Raptors fans have something against Enes Kanter lol
Alec Burks getting picked over Kyrie Irving, Brandon Knight, and Donatas Motiejunas? Burks isn’t a better prospect than those 3
