gtohammer15ParticipantWhy are Levance Fields and Scottie Reynolds not in draft talk?

A. StockGood Question. I Think Fields Has The Ability To Be A Point Guard In The League.

drew2288Participantmaybe scottie reynolds, but levance fields is not a pro based on his size, athlectic ability, but you never know. Pitt guard like Brandon Knight and Carl Krasuer were good college guard but never had a chance in the pros.

deuce4offWow if you watch Fields play against NBA caliber guards he struggles, as he did against UConn, watch him play UConn today (Sat.) and watch his lack of explosiveness and his inability to get by either A.J. Price, Kemba Walker, or even Craig Austrie who isn’t considered an NBA prospect……he would get eaten alive in the League. His skill set just doesn’t translate to the NBA one bit. Doubt he would be able to guard one starting NBA PG.

jorrye24If Ronald Ramon isnt in the NBA, then fields isnt going to be in the NBA because Ramon was a better shooter and athlete and was also a more than decent passer, even though he was slightly below Fields in that category. Reynolds will have to stay next year and then wait to get drafted. He isnt a true point guard and doesnt really have the athletic ability that other undersized combo guards have.

tdavis6718ParticipantDid you just mention Ronald Ramon and NBA in the same sentence??? Besides the fact he is a true SG not even a PG at 5’10 he is flat footed and has not ability to score off the dribble and no chance of playing in the NBA…….
Levance Fields has the vision and skills to play in the NBA but will never get a sniff because of his size and speed. He has trouble getting by players and will not be able to guard a soul in the NBA.
The best guard to come out of Pitt barely got a shoot to perform there. Antonio Graves was a victim of the system and never got an opportunity to shine and now is making more money than any player from U of Pitt since Mark Blount!!! He is a fierce combo guard that has no weaknesses to his game and Jamie Dixon kept him in a Role player role. He left Pitt and went on to lead France league in scoring and now top 10 in Turkish league and a huge NBA prospect!!!!!!

eprizzle14ParticipantNo way Feilds will play in the NBA. Good college player who made the most out of what he was working with. Like jorrye said Reynolds is skilled but doesnt have that ultra athletic combo guard thing going on, maybe a career over seas?

sb13Participantsize and potential?

usfballerParticipantReynolds is only a JR who isn’t a true point so i really hope he isn’t considering coming out (except to “test the waters” as EVERY junior who hasn’t already declared should). Levance Fields is Khalid El-Amin without the jumpshot. Not exactly what any NBA team is looking for.

a2ParticipantDont get me wrong both are great players but it comes down to size, athleticism, and potential. Both lack in that area. Fields is a good passer and scottie is good also but they wont succeed in the NBA. Its the same thing with Tyler Hansbrough.
