Donte is going to be a very good NBA player. I’d go as far as saying that I would take him over his teammate Mikal Bridges. Donte has only average size for a 2 guard at 6-5 but he’s a good enough ball handler (in fact I think college wise he’s a very good handler) to play a combo guard role. Excellent shooter with confidence that is through the roof. Very athletic as well, I’d say he’s an above average athlete for NBA standards. He also plays incredibly hard and makes a lot of effort plays that can be the difference between winning and losing, like averging an offensive rebound per game in each of his full seasons at Nova while being a perimeter player.

People are sleeping on him because of his background role at nova, but as someone who watched a lot of nova games the last two years, he always seemed to bail them out when Brunson or Bridges or Josh Hart last year didn’t show up. Played very well in the loss vs. Wisky, played great against Michigan when Brunson and Bridges (until the game was out of hand) didn’t.

Villanova’s March Madness hero, who is officially still testing the waters, had some impressive moments in both games after making the somewhat surprising decision to take the floor despite his tournament momentum. Although he knocked down only 1 of 6 triples in Game 2, he stroked a few deep pull-up 3s and on-the-move jumpers, giving NBA scouts a taste of his most translatable skill. He also proved his worth defensively both on and off the ball, and attacked the defensive glass. He’s tough and instinctual with above-average in-game athleticism, having finished in the top four of combine participants all-time in max-vertical and no-step vertical.

From a physical standpoint, the 6-4½, 201-pound DiVincenzo boasts a similar profile to Jamal Murray when he was 18.6 years old, both with so-so 6-6 wingspans. Given his lead-guard-esque measurements, DiVincenzo still has some work to do with his ball-skills and point guard reads, as he’s very much a shotmaking guard at this stage. But DiVincenzo’s combination of shooting, confidence, competitiveness and winning pedigree makes him an interesting option in the back-end of the first round, should he opt to stay in as most are expecting.

Where do people see him ending up? With a rising draft stock due to his showing at the combine and tournament run, at the ealiest I could see a team in the mid first round taking a shot at him. Even so, I’m hoping he’ll still be there by 27 for my celtics to take.

I think he’s Boston’s guy if he’s still there to replace Marcus Smart and help their cap situation out going forward. He brings a lot of those same intangibles and energy with better shooting.

He had a really really good game in the combine scrimmage.  And, that block in the championship game was a "woah there" moment.

I actually see him as a 2-guard TJ McConnell, so TJ with more size and athleticism but the same grit.

I’m with you in that I hope he lasts until 26 but I highly doubt it.  His vertical and his overall skill set him up for a teens pick.

I actually kind of want him for the Sixers at 10, crazy as that is.

If there was a way Philly could make a trade with the Clippers for 12 and 13, maybe with 10, 26, and a promising player like Holmes and Korkmaz (since htey will lose Deandre Jordan likely), I’d want Philly to draft Lonnie Walker and Devincenzo one after the other.

Maybe they can just trade down with Pheonix and grab Devincenzo.  Regardless, I WANT HIM!

But if you watched him all year, you knew that kind of performance on the big stage was only a matter of time. I don’t think its crazy that you want the Sixers to take him at 10. While he could whiff as a pro, I think there’s a lot of upside to that pick.

I predict he goes to the Bulls at #22, and everybody forgets he exists.
