4thewinParticipantDion Waiters and a second round pick for Gordon Hayward
Utah with likely have a top pick in the draft and they will look to get a SF and with Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins in the draft they can target one of them. Gordon Hayward is more of a three than a two so if he isn’t traded then he would be forced to play the 2.
Cleveland needs a 3man and Gordon can fill that roll for them going forward.
Dion waiters can be Utah’s starting 2guard with Alek Burkes in the back up role.

Pack AttackParticipantWhy would the Jazz need to rush to make a trade for Hayward? He’s restricted this summer so they can just wait to see what he gets offered. They have plenty of room to add a 11-12mil/year deal which he’ll probably get. If the price is too high they can sign-and-trade with the overpaying team and probably get a better deal. He can definitely play the two spot if they get Parker/Wiggins.
Hayward has better potential than Waiters anyway. Waiters looks like Willie Green with attitude problems.

TyroberParticipantIf the Cavs trade Waiters I will be so pissed. Not because I don’t think they should or shouldn’t trade him, but if they really aren’t sold on him and they didn’t draft Oladipo because of already having Waiters only to trade him a couple months later. It’s hard to be a Cavs fan….

TyroberParticipantNot at all. It just seems like they didn’t want Oladipo because they had Waiters but if they thought a Waiters trade might be in the future they should have drafted Oladipo imo. But I am not saying they shouldn’t trade Waiters or keep him. I personally kind of like Waiters. I didn’t like the pick at all to start with because Barnes seemed like an obvious choice, but he has talent.
