ball4life66ParticipantHe is starting to putting up great stats now that he is staying out of trouble. He is a lot more skilled than people give him credit for and has been alterting every shot down low…he has made GT such a great defensive team. Here were his stats for the ACC tourney
vs North Carolina 18 points 9 rebounds 5 blocks
vs Maryland 11 points 11 rebounds 3 blocks (21 points 18 rebounds the first time they faced)
vs NC State 17 points 8 rebounds 2 blocks
vs Duke 22 points 11 rebounds 2 blocksThe dude is going to be a beast in the NBA…i just wish he would stay for his sophomore year…his stats would be unbelievable next year and would probably be the #1 pick.

M-DYMESParticipantHe’s insane if he would stay. With a pending lockout hanging in the balance, you gotta get your $$$ while you can.

butidonthavemoneyWhat do you mean “staying out of trouble”? You mean foul trouble?

MkadozaParticipantI agree if Favors stays in college for one more year, and Lawals gone, he could easily have a Blake Griffin-esqe second season, more defensive prowess, less explosion. But theres very little chance he returns, especially if he has the tourney I expect him too.

JNixonParticipantHe’s gotten better every game in the conference season in terms of his awareness and aggressiveness. He has gotten alot better and somewhat smarter.
I also agree and could see him having a Blake Griffin-esque season if he returned for his Sophomore season. Along with GT’s guards being terrible at feeding the post this year, Gani Lawal was the same type of player is. It’s hard when your playing with a guy on the low block that doesn’t complement you well. He needs a guy that can spread the floor and play mid-range so he can have the low post to himself to make those limited moves he does have in his arsenal. I think he’d be well-served returning, but that is VERY doubtful.

sheltwon3ParticipantFavors could possibly go 3rd or 4th easy with the way he has been playing and his potential. He would give Indiana the athlete at the 4 that they need or he could maybe give GSW a reason to trade Randolph for a vet and a future first. I like Randolph but honestly he will not be the player he could playing for GSW.

lalailaParticipantyeah Favors is rising without no doubt..
i made a post couple days before after he had two straight 18/9 games and i mentioned he avg around 17/9/3 in last 6 games..three more games including tournament final he is still has those big numbers actually even little better now..i start to think he is 4th on my board especially when i see him starting not to be afraid to shoot couple jumpers.
