Darth DivacParticipantThis kid is my favorite prospect from the 2013 draft, and has the all the skills to become a great NBA point guard. Here’s my projections for his career:
Rookie stats:7.1 ppg, 3.8 apg, 1.3 rpg, 38% fg
In all likelihood, the Hawks will want to go slow with his development. They’ve already got Jeff Teague, so Dennis can enter the NBA coming off the bench.
Sophmore stats: 10.6 ppg, 5.5 apg, 41% fg
After adjusting to the NBA game for a year, Schroeder can now split the starting job with Teague.
3rd year stats: 13.1 ppg, 8.8 apg, 45% fg, 37% 3pt
In his first year as a full time starter, Dennis shines.
Projected peak stats: 19.7 ppg, 12.3 apg, 48% fg, 41% 3pt
If he fulfills his potential to it’s fullest, he can put up all-star numbers of the sort you see above.

frogmanParticipantHe will win the MVP if he puts up those numbers! I like him but you are expecting him to put up Magic Johnson numbers.

frogmanParticipantJust as a reference, Rondo who most believe is at least a top 5 PG and the best case possible for Schroeder put up 13.7 and 11.1 last season. 19.7 and 12.3 is incredibly impressive.

TimeForNineParticipantIf he put up those numbers, the least amount of points per game he would be responsible for would be 64 ppg (19.7 x 2, 12.3 x 2). That would mean he’d be responsible for over 60% of a team’s scoring alone. I like the optimism, but the last time anyone put up those numbers were Deron Williams and Chris Paul during their 20 and 10 years.

Snubs15ParticipantSorry for being critical of your math… But if a guy averages 20pts per game you don’t multiply that by 2 to get 40 points… It would stay at 20 lol.
But yeah I also believe these numbers are a little bit too optimistic for Schroeder.0 - Posted on: Sat, 08/03/2013 - 9:40pm #829686
