swishh_15ParticipantOkay change the 3rd piece to Thaddeus young or something to make it so you ‘get more’ for cousins. I know sac town won’t trade him but they should, they are horrible and won’t win with him. I’m also not a kings fan at all, I am a jazz fan.

swishh_15ParticipantDemarcus Cousins to the Wizards for the 3rd pick and Jan Vesely. (Maybe some other small random piece to make the salaries work)
So DeMarcus really has been nothing but trouble in Sac-town, despite his talent and ability, and the team has been horrible every year he’s been there. There is new management and a new direction. Cousins does not need his 3rd coach in 4 years..the guy needs a new start.
He is high risk though so I think going somewhere like Washington is a great fit because they are in a position to take a risk on him, and being back with his college buddy John Wall might be an excellent fit. It also gives Washington a legit chance to make the playoffs in the east next season I think. Vesely has also been kind of a bust in Washington and i’m sure they would be happy to get rid of him with the chance at Cousins and it would Vesely a fresh start.
Sacramento needs a new fresh start and something exciting to get things going there. They need to totally start over. Having the 3rd and 7th picks in this years draft could be a great way to start the process. Otto Porter could be a great fit here, finally giving sac-town a player that isn’t a ‘me-first’ mentality who takes every bad chance at a shot he gets. He could provide a lot of intangibles and defense to a team that sorely needs it. Anthony Bennett and Victor Oladipo are also possible good fits here. Maybe even Mclemore but he is someone who is another shooter. Then they could take another solid guy with the 7th pick and all of a sudden Sacramento is starting to have a little life and excitement to that roster again.

jjbutler73ParticipantThat’s where he wants to be. Malone may be the coach that can make it work.

Bigstinky34ParticipantThey are not trading Cousins. He wants to stay there and they already said they won’t. Tyreke Evans will be gone. The kings will sign Monta Ellis and I wouldn’t be surprised if Milwaukee goes after Evans.

swishh_15ParticipantThe fact they would want to add monte Ellis to that team shows how dumb the management is. These ball hog, bad shot taking guys they keep filling the roster with is killing the franchise.

Bigstinky34ParticipantMonta played great when the Bucks traded for Redick and he primarily played PG… He is actually not a ball hog and averaged almost 8asts when playing the point. Not to mention he knows Mike Malone from his time in Golden st.where I believe he averaged 24 and 6asts before being traded 2 years ago.

KayjayParticipantJust to clarify the Kings as of right now have no interest in trading Cousins. In fact, they hope to make him their franchise player. New ownership, new coach, offers new vision, and hopefully a new culture for Evans and Cousins.

FutureNBAGMParticipantRandom question(assuming your a Kings fan): do you see Evans more as a SG or a PG if you re-sign him long term?

KayjayParticipantAnd given another shot at the point guard position. Thats where he was most effective, and thats where he should be. Too much tinkering by lame duck coaches gave that roster incosistent production and inconsistent minutes. Malone will sit down with a lot of these guys and get a beat on things. If things start shaping up and it starts to look like someone needs to leave, they made it very clear they will look to reshaping the roster.

larryfiskenParticipantThey are bringing in new management and the Kings have new owners so good luck with that trade, they should get more for cousins if they want to trade him.

OaktownWarriorsParticipantI could see another stupid team like the Wizards trading with the Kings for Demarcus Cousins. I know, I know Cousins does have some talent…well alot of talent. But his head is glued on with some loose nails. I don’t see the Kings doing anything until they dump Evans. Evans can be good at times, but he hasn’t made the Kings better over the past three seasons! Hiring Malone will help, but dumping Evans will help the Kings even more!

swishh_15ParticipantIt’s guys like you all of you giving this “thumbs down” and your thoughts that will keep Sacramento and Washington at the bottom of the standings year after year after year.

OaktownWarriorsParticipantQuestion here…it seems that people are viewing Ellis as some “God”? The answer to the Kings issues? I saw Ellis play alot here in Oaktown and I really like Monta, but he hogs the ball too much and doesn’t make your team better. I’ve seen too many games in Oaktown where Ellis scored in the 30’s or 40’s and the Warriors still didn’t win. He’s very much like Kevin Martin, Tyreke Evans…can put up big numbers, but the bottom line…they don’t make their better! In fact, if the Kings got Ellis and kept Evans, the Kings would need to different basketballs to play.
