The clippers are gonna clear house and out DJ and Lou on the market. They want young talent and picks.

The clippers Trade DJ to the wiz for Otto Porter jr and mahinmi The wizards get the best player right now in DJ. The Clippers get a young talent in Porter and a decent big man. Porter is kind of hamstrung with Beal and Wall. He could flourish with more shot attempts. Salaries work and each gets what they need. The clippers could throw in a role player for that terrible bench.

The clippers trade Lou Williams and AB to the cavs for  Shumpert And the nets pick. With the clippers tanking they could get two top 10 picks this year. The cavs have been trying to trade shumpert all year. They could start Lou AB LBJ Love and Thompson. IT and Crowder could move to the bench and IT could play a Jason Terry role and Crowder can concentrate on getting back to a 3 and D guy.

Clippers made this trade to clear cap space and make a run for Lebron, who they feel they have a great chance of landing.

One step closer to having LeBron.

LeBron James has strategically stayed out of the Western conference his entire career and has padded his legacy by doing so. There’s a zero percent chance that he’s going to the Western conference to play for a rebuilding team in the twilight of his career.

Otto Porter is a more valuable player in today’s NBA than DJ. I wouldn’t do it if I were the Wiz.

Having Lou Williams, IT and Wade on the same team with LeBron makes absolutely no sense. There’s room for one other ball-dominant player on the Cavs. Two is pushing it.

Besides, the Cavs will commit mass suicide if that Nets pick ends up being Ayton, Young or Bagley, after they gave it up to rent Williams and Bradley just so they could lose to the Warriors again.

How about Deandre, Lou, and Avery (or Wesley Johnson) for Tristan, JR, Shump, and the nets pick? or take out JR or Shump for IT, he’s playing poorly enough. It’ll change their defensive woes real quick and may be the only way they can get Lebron to consider staying.

Wiz are not going to trade Otto for a player who is a potential half season rental. And Cavs are definitely not trading their Brookyn pick for those 2 players. sorry, but that is wishful thinking at best.

Lebron is on record saying he would never play for the clippers

Just remembered that Avery can’t be traded along with another Clipper this season. He can only be traded by himself. That’s standard practice for midseason deals like this.

Clippers won’t move DJ, they choose him over Blake as the one big to build upon and going forward with, they decided that both not working anymore in today nba as they believe even Blake better suited for the center position right now, now with Harris they have more spacing…

LBJ would only likely have considered Clippers if CP3 was still there IMO and certainly moving Griffin would make that even less likely. The Clippers have some nice role players and but main running mates of a retained Jordan and a fit Gallo wouldn’t appeal to LBJ IMO.

I’m not really sure why the Clippers think they have a realistic shot at LeBron. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t be shocked if LeBron walks away from the Cavs after this season. But what do the Clippers have to offer? Even if they sign Paul George to a max contract as well, and fill in the rest, is that really enough to get past Golden State? Definitely not.

Clippers are just pressing the reset button.Warriors to good for next 3/4 years and Ballmer wants to make sure his team is set up for his new arena. What if clippers have clip18(lotto)/Pistons18(will be lotto pistons have no depth and Blake ill punch a wall after seeing how bad Detroit is),if DJ/Lou is traded say for nets pick I can realistically see clippers with 3 pick 6-14 range in a stacked draft. In Jerry West we trust. He made the Grizz relevant and created the Warriors.

Also clips pick will jump to #1 as payback for losing Kyrie to cavs in their jump..Nba always rigs the lotto

Gallo is easily the hardest guy to trade on their roster, but I don’t think it is impossible. If their goal is to take on less money and possibly get some expiring contract and/or young guys. Not looking at position or fit as there will probably be trades for Jordan, Lou and Bradley as well. Also, it sounds like he’ll be back playing this week. So that should boost his stock.

Gallinari and Wes Johnson to Milwaukee for Teletovic, Dellavedova and Vaughn. Clippers save about 4.5 million off the trade. Teletovic’s contract is shorter than Gallinari’s. Delly’s is 3 years but is 9.6 million compared to Gallinari’s 20.6. None of these guys really play for the Bucks and Gallinari can add some shooting and Wes can add some depth.

Gallinari and Teodosic to New York for Noah, McDermott and a 2nd round pick. Clippers save about 4.5 million off the trade. Noah’s contract is still long, but less money than Gallinari’s. McDermott is both young and expiring. Plus they don’t really need Teodosic who is old and has another year under his contract. Knicks get rid of Noah who wants out. I figure both Gallinari and Teodosic would start after this trade and New York could possibly make a playoff push?

Gallinari and Wes Johnson to New Orleans for Hill, Ajinca, Clark, Allen and Diallo. Clippers save about 5 million off the trade. Hill’s contract is same years but about 8 million less than Gallinari’s. Clark and Allen are both expiring. Diallo is a decent young piece. Pelicans said they’re still going to be buyers and look to make the playoffs. None of the guys they trade were making an impact. Gallinari adds shooting and can play the 3 or the 4. Wes adds depth on the wing (which they lack).

No blockbusters, just teams swapping crappy players.
