I know there has been a lot of posts about the Cavs draft and off season. With the draft being a few days away I really dont know what the Cavs are going to do. As a fan i dont know what our best option is as far as the draft. I want Bmac so we have a solid guard rotation but i also think filling the SF and C need is just as important. Are they going to tade the for the Mavs 13th pick? Who do they draft at 19? Do they even keep their first pick? They could trade the 1st pick and sign a key free agent and be a playoff team? Do they play this year out and hope to land Lebron or a guy in the loaded 14 draft? There are so many options. If this was a good draft class then it wouldnt be as big of an issue. I personally want them to draft bmac, if not him then Porter, if not him then Len. Noel would not be a good choice in my opinion. I wanted to see what everybody else’s opinon on what the cavs should do.

Personally I think the alex len thing was/is a huge smokescreen in order to bait Charlotte into a MKG deal (not happening) or another team with a quality small forward. I think cleveland will pick noel #1. There is no better option at the top, unless you want to alienate waiters with bmac or think that porter averaging 10 and 4 is worth a #1 overall…

Personally I think the alex len thing was/is a huge smokescreen in order to bait Charlotte into a MKG deal (not happening) or another team with a quality small forward. I think cleveland will pick noel #1. There is no better option at the top, unless you want to alienate waiters with bmac or think that porter averaging 10 and 4 is worth a #1 overall…

I think that if they can somehow get the 13th pick from the Mavs, then there is no reason not to do so. They might not want to keep all of their 2013 picks, but it’s a problem I’d be OK with having to figure out. As far as draft vs trade, they will have issues finding enough value for the 1st pick. If the Wiz are offering #3 for Deng, then I’m sure the Cavs could just jump in front of the Wiz and snag Deng. Deng is probably the best talent they could get for the #1 pick in this draft. If not, then stay put and draft BMac, Porter, or Len and grab the best player available at 13 (hopefully someone who falls out of the top 10) and 19.

They could always draft BMac or Len, BPA at 13 and 19, then trade a couple seconds for Pierce and have a team that could easily make the playoffs in the East. It will be interesting to see what they do with all of their pieces.

Since the Cavs have 4 picks and no need to trade up with the first pick, along with a lot of cap space and Sideshow Bob and plenty of trade assets on the roster I truely believe the Cavs go all in this year trying to make the Playoffs next year. We all know how good strong next years draft class is but to be they are ready to make the next step and shouldn’t dream about LeBron next year. They have a nice Core with Thompson, Kyrie and Waiters and should do moves now to bring this team forward or Kyrie won’t be there for too long.

I see them doing a draft day trade to bring in Otto Porter or maybe someone else playing SF on a rookie contract. If they want to they can have Porter #1 or if they want to maximise the ouput trade down to 3 or 4 or or wherever he is picked and cash in on someone else in the deal. They can absorb a big contract and realistically they can still trade their three other picks to climb higher for someone like Adams, Bennett (who seems to slip) or Olynyk.

Next years roster could really be twice as strong or loaded with talent. Maybe another team is willing to part ways with a 2014 first rounder to get the hands on Varejau and one of Clevelands picks.

They have like a trillion options with all their cap space and draft picks. I’mvery excited to see what they do, same with the Pistons!

I agree, Cleveland is great at creating smokescreens. Now that Noel’s knee has been looked at and had a great response from doctors I’d be more comfortable taking a healed ACL over foot/Ankle injuries on a 7 footer.

With Kyrie’s passing Noel instantly becomes a better offensive player.

So if they cavs end up with #1 and #13 is it Noel/Karasev or Porter/ Steven Adams or Lucas Nogueira.
