I’m looking forward to NJ not winning the lottery but still being super active this summer with free agents and plugging a quality rook in the offense, I’m also counting in them to be sure contenders in the lebron sweepstakes, but a line up of Brook, Favors/Monroe/freeagent, Williams, Lee, Harris. Is very intriguing barring injury, put Lebron at 3 and Williams as the 6thman and to me u got a top team in the east.

The Bulls have a very similar thing going for them if they were to get bron, but I think if they could add a couple other players thru freeagency, I’m thinking Mike Miller, and maybe Brenden Haywood that’d be a team poised to win a title D.Rose, Miller, Bron, Noah, Haywood, the bench would be pretty good as well with Flip, Gibson, Warrick, and maybe a sleeper big out the draft…. What’s some thoughts on this?

I don’t think that’s as big a deal as most think. Ron Artest and Kobe also had “bad blood” last year, and Artest is just fine in LA now.

Ur right Derrick Rose actually became 1 of my favorite players this year, his heart is inevitable, he carried the young bulls to the playoffs, they could also move luol Deng for another legit big Deng and Heinrich for kamen with Haywood off the bench sounds great to me

He is not going to new jersey.

As for Chicago Rose might be one of the dumbest people in the NBA, his IQ is probably somewhere around 60, but that’s not the point. Deng and Hinrich are not worth anything on the market because their contracts are horrendous. Lebron and Rose would not play well together because they both like to handle the ball to be effective.

Its New York or the awful mistake of staying in crummy cleveland with no cap space and everyone getting old. The Cavs peaked this year for the next 5 years even if Lebron stays. So to all the people that say if he wants to win he will stay they are all uneducated and ignorant.

I think both places would be good fits. Chicago would be intriguing.

One guy said Bron and Rose wouldnt work. I cant say i agree completely or disagree. Because yes both guys are best with the ball, but Rose is a pretty good off ball player. He’s an excellent cutter off the ball and can finish at the rim. He’s also an excellent transition player which would make for a breathtaking fast break duo.

I think Deng should be traded if Bron is signed, but not Hinrich. I think Deng could net them a solid player like Boozer in a sign and trade, would work out for both teams I think.

Hinrich is the perfect glue guy. He’s fiery, good shooter, great team guy, a good defender, can play the PG or SG.

I dont know how legit that “bad blood” thing is between lebron and Noah. Both guys are pros, and want to win. The only thing I remember was Lebron dancing and Noah getting annoyed…which he should be. I dont think theres anything there that would prevent a signing.

you can’t possibly in your right mind say that you want Rose playing off the ball. I can’t take anythign else you say seriously from now on. If you think the Bulls can have Lebron bring the ball up and look for Rose on cuts and Rose will be half the player he was this year you are insane. Rose can’t hit a jump shot outside of 15 feet so its either Lebrons assist numbers go down to 3-4 a game and he is no longer as involved or as much of a factor in games, or Rose goes from an All Star to an average PG.

I think you have this odd idea that if Lebron went to Chicago that Rose would have to be stricly an “off ball” player. I doubt that would be the case. Make no mistake about it, Rose would be the Point guard. Just because he is the point guard doesnt mean he cant play off the ball though either. I would want Rose to have the ball in his hands, but I’d also want the ball in Lebrons hands…You know where the best place for the ball to be would be though…going through the friggin hoop…both guys do that. So dont be a narrow minded fool and say you wouldnt want Derrick Rose “playing off the ball”…he could do both. Wouldnt you want to mix it up a bit…That might be the problem with Cleveland right now is that Lebron does everything…Im quite certain i read taht somewhere.

Would there be an adjustment for both guys? Sure there would. Lebron has never had a running mate like a Derrick Rose, and has never been asked to share the ball in terms of another guy running an offense. But if he is serious about winning, then Chicago would be a great fit, and I think they could both make it work.

Yeah if he goes to Chicago his assists might go down…boo freaking hoo. So would his points. Thats becasue there would actually be a chance to have balance in an offense. Ask KG how he feels about his stats in Boston right now. Ask Ray Allen.

    http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/news/story?page=lebron_week_teammate_rankings_hollinger

if you dont get insider it pretty much says Rose is not a very good option for a teammate.

Now we’re forcing things a bit: Rudy Gay, Joe Johnson, Derrick Rose
On the perimeter, Johnson and Gay would each provide James with a huge tag-team partner on the wings; this might be less than ideal defensively against quicker 2s but would be pretty fearsome on offense. However, both players are more comfortable playing with the ball and neither is a high-percentage sniper; Johnson (53.8) and Gay (53.2) had middling TS% stats and only average Offensive Rebound Rates. While both numbers might increase in a subordinate role, it’s not the killer combo that the four power forwards above provide.

Similarly, Rose’s game is hardly a perfect match for James. He wants the ball in his hands (second among point guards in Usage Rate) and while he’s a very good midrange shooter, he doesn’t have the catch-and-shoot, long-range game that would help space the floor for LeBron when he’s off the ball. While Rose is likely to improve in the coming years, and would form a devastating running mate in transition, the combo isn’t ideal.

Hollinger says the perfect teammate would be Bosh. Guess who has the money to sign both?

I think Lebron is going to either Miami with Dwayne Wade, the Nets if they get John Wall, or staying with Cleveland. Those are the only options I see.

I agree 100% that Bosh would be the perfect guy for them to get…I’ve said that Bosh should be their number 1 target and then go get a 2nd tier wing like JJ, Gay, or at worst maybe a Mike Miller or Michael Redd. So I’m with you on that one.

BUT…if they do indeed go for Lebron, I still think the tandem would work. Yeah Rose handled the ball alot last year, but who else was going to do it? Same goes for Lebron…with the both of them, you can have a balance…which is why Cleveland keeps losing, there is no balance. Just because Lebron is good with the ball doesnt mean every single posession has to start and finish with the ball in his hands, same goes for Rose. Thats the best way I can put it. I think it would work ok. But I do agree that they should go for Bosh and then a Sign and Trade for a stud Wing maybe.

So the Knicks can get both Lebron and Bosh
Since Chicago’s main selling point over NY is Rose
Wouldn’t Bosh and Lebron be a better core than Rose and Lebron?
Other than Rose the Knicks and Bulls are pretty evenly matched talent-wise.
