The8thDeadlySinParticipantSo nobody has said anything about this and maybe its because everyone, but me, saw this comming..
Parsons started tonight against the Thunder for the Rockets… He played 30 mins…
He is starting ahead of and playing more minutes than: Buddinger, Williams, and Morris, whom was drafted way ahead of Parsons.
Am I missing something here?? I think Parsons will be fine and if he won the job, it is his to have but did anyone else see this coming???
Anyone else a little shocked about this??

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantI don’t think he stays in there. I think it is just an experiment, Budinger will be back in there soon.

JNixonParticipantI have personally always loved Parsons’ game. He’s a tall wing who has shown he can play anything from PG-PF (although he’ll be a SG/SF in the NBA), he’s got a nice shot, good athleticism, good handle for his size, and he’s a great passer. He’s not tough and he has struggled with aggressiveness and assertiveness, but he’s a talent. He’s similar to a Mike Miller or more so an Austin Daye type of guy. I have liked his game since he was a Soph. at UF

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThe past few years it seems Houston gives the starting small forward spot to whoever has been playing well the last few games..And it looks like new coach McHale is doing the same thing..Parsons have played well in limited minutes this year ..And alot of people were eager to see what he’ll do when given more minutes, but if you look at the boxscore,he didnt have a good game..But that’ll happen to any young player that have to guard Durant….

JunkYardDogParticipanthe came here in france to play during the lockout and he faces some difficulties to adjust at the beginning. But quickly he became very effective and he let a very good "image" of him.
he’s a solid professionnal serious player. He has skills, some background and is a smart young man. He deserves to play more than T. williams or M. morris who are more talented but maybe less effective if you see the whole picture.
Parsons brings some matchup problems with his size, passing skills and shooting ability. Let’s give him the chance he deserves : remember where david lee was drafted in the first round….

Meditated StatesParticipantHe has not been consistent, but I also think he is not used right either. Parson is a solid player I thought he would be a late draft sleeper. We’ll see if he can keep that starting position.

JoeWolf1Houston has kind of a log jam of talent at the SF position and I think they’re just giving Parsons a shot because they see his potential. He’s had some solid games already leading up to last night, while their other rookie Morris has struggled. They are giving this lineup a shot. It wouldn’t suprise me if they put Williams or Budinger into the starting lineup or give Morris a shot later in the season. If Houston continues to lose I expect a lot of combo’s in an attempt to find something that builds a little momentum.
I like Parsons though, he’s really versitile and I think he’s got a good shot of being a do it all glue type player whether it be in the starting lineup or off the bench.
