Don’t get me wrong I think Brown is a very good coach. What he got out of some of those Cavs teams was amazing. Winning over 60 games with Mo Williams being your second best player should get you respect in the league.

And I think Brown can win in the league. Has to be the right fit, with the right players and the right front office to stand behind him. His coaching is to ugly up the game. Lock down D. Rebound the ball and grind out wins. Didn’t work with the Lakers because his players didn’t buy in. His star didn’t buy in.

Now to this Cavs team that he might coach. It’s not a good fit IMO. You have a young team that should be flying up and down the floor. I would love to the Cavs play like Denver. Could you see Irving, Waiters Thompson and lets say Otto Porter ( This years 4th pick maybe ) running the floor with bigs Varejao, Zeller and Speights holding it down on the low block. I just don’t see a team that’s made to play in the half court. They can because of two players Irving and Waiters can get their own shot off. But playing fast, jumping passing lanes getting points off the break is the way I think they should win.

And if you the keys back to Brown you’ll never see your team play like that. Slow and grinding is what you’ll see.

      They might as well.

Just like Byron Scott in Cleveland, Mike Brown didn’t really get a fair shake in LA. Everybody’s natural instinct is to blame a new coach if they don’t get off to a good start. It’s not Brown’s fault, it’s the media’s fault for crying foul just because they got off to a rough start.

At least Brown will come into a good situation. Young, improving team with a bona-fide superstar and several draft picks coming. Who knows, Lebron might be back in 2014 too. That team would be must-watch TV.

Right? I’m not the biggest Mike Brown fan but he got a bad deal in LA.

The problem is Dwight, not the coaches. Dwight is a great player when he’s healthy and playing. But off the court he’s a cancer. He’s not a good locker room guy and he’s even worse with the media.

Shouldn’t have fired him to begin with. He probably has the best win percentage in cavs history as a coach.

Yeh but I would have a good win percentage if you gave me Lebron James.

Its no question that lebron is great but please don’t act like lebron did everything with no help. One thing about coach Mike Brown, he had the respect of his locker room and was a strong voice for his team during his time with the cavs. He may not be the x and o’s type of coach but he was good to great at other aspects of coaching.

Mike Brown is the greatest cheerleader in the coaching game.

He is a competent defensive coach but that’s where it ends, he’s clueless offensively and if he were hired he’d probably have Irving play 1-on-5 like he did to LeBron. He shouldn’t be anywhere near this team nor an NBA team as a head coach.
