RickyRubio9ParticipantAfter watching the game on Sunday, it left me wondering… If LeBron and Melo were to switch places would the Miami Heat still be the favorite? Would LeBron elevate this Knicks team to Championship Contender? Would the Heat have beat the Thunder last year or even made it that far? I feel like Melo is very underrated in terms of Superstar, etc.

clutch in spaceParticipantIf Lebron took the cavs to the finals, he can certainly do it with the Knicks. Especially, the way he elevated his game this season.

ShekiruBoomParticipantif melo played on the heat, the heat will not be as dominant defensively or connected offensively. with the knicks though, i think lebron gets them better but not championship level. Lebron prob cant take all the star tandems of most contending teams by himself like the Cavalier days

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantThe BobCats would be a 4-5 seed with Lebron.

BiggysmallsParticipantLebron on this years Knicks team would be more unfair then the Heat. Tyson Chandler is better then any big defensively that Miami has. Kidd is good defensively, Shumpert has shown potential, and Lebron would elevate JR Smith, Amare, and Felton to be at least average defenders by making them accountable. Chandler, Amare, Kidd, and Felton would all fit better with Lebron then Melo as he would get all of them more open shots then Melo.
Carmelo is anything but underrated. He is an elite scorer, but he does little else to affect the game. He’s not great on defense, he doesnt rebound at an elite level, he doesnt facilitate. He can score alot, but he wouldnt elevate a team the way Lebron does.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantis better than the Heat’s roster outside Lebron. You see the way Amare plays without Melo, the sad part is that goes both ways with those guys. Novak would be shooting at least 5 percentage points better from 3 with Lebron on the floor and entering uncharted marksmanship numbers. The Knicks have a deep roster with a lot of different skill sets and Lebron would bring that out. Imagine the +- with a Lebron. JR Smith, Steve Novak, Amare, Chandler line up.

omphalosParticipantI respectfully disagree, the Heat still have two certified stars on their team outside of Lebron, if you’re talking a game where both Lebron and Melo are injured, the Heat would still destroy the Knicks, people forget how much more Wade and Bosh are capable of now that they are taking even more of a back seat to Lebron.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantI would personally take Chandler, Amare, JR Smith over the Heat. Lebron makes Bosh better, maybe not Wade but he keeps Wade from being inefficient which is better in its own way. Plus I think Chalmers has no place without Lebron because there are no open jumpers. I prefer Felton who can create and be effective in a PnR game.
