    I’m very confused at this, but can we stop making threads saying Memphis should deal Rudy Gay? For one, he’s Memphis’ best perimeter player, and I’d argue with Gay, this team would make the finals because he’s also a very clutch player.

    Just because Memphis defeated San Antonio and making a tough matchup for Oklahoma City doesn’t mean Gay should be traded. If anything, I think Memphis considers moving O.J. Mayo to allow Xavier Henry to develop more next season.

    Gay isn’t going anywhere. And I think they will keep Mayo, and try to trade Henry instead of the other way around.

    Once Randolph was signed I suggested a Rudy Gay trade. Not because they need to move him, because with the new CBA they wont be able to afford Gay, Randolph, and Gasol. How would they keep Gasol without competely going over the new salaries. I think a wing like Gay is very hard to come across dont get me wrong, but a 7-1 280 pound, rugged Center with the skillset and footwork of Gasol is even harder to find. If they can keep both by any means they should do it, but plain and simple they may not be able to at all.

    isn’t it funny how there’s a post about this as soon as Jeff Van Gundy or another one of the TV guys bring it up?  Just cuz they give us a stat doesn’t mean we should jump on their bandwagon.

    The trade would be about Money and nothing else…. 71 mill for Z BO, 55 Mill for MIke C, 90 Mill for Gay… Gasol will ask for 70 mill…. Thats a lot of green backs for a small market team. If they can, I think they will keep them all but if it comes down to signing Gasol and losing Gay… Dude Gay your house better be on the market.

     Maybe they can just trade Gay for Kaman. Clippers get a good small forward and Grizzlies get a nice ending contract
