Can Joe Johnson be taken away from the Hawks??? I know it seems unlikely since they are playing so well agains the Magic but could someone steal him??

    Hornets-Hawks

    Hornets get:
    Joe Johnson

    Hawks get:
    Emeka Okafor
    Trevor Ariza

Hornets sign Tyson Chandler since he loves playing with CP3 and they are better suited, now, to compete than the old Mavs..

    Hornets Lineup:
    PG: CP3
    SG: Marco
    SF: JJ
    PF: DWest
    C: Chandler
    6th: JJack

The Hawks would need to resign Crawford because he has been fantastic off the bench as a scorer.

    Hawks Lineup:
    PG: Kirk
    SG: Ariza
    SF: Smith
    PF: Horford
    C: Okafor
    6th: Crawford

Thats one that I can think of that is far.. Anyone have any other ideas????

If Atlanta was looking to shake up the roster, I think Josh Smith would be moved before Joe Johnson

Why would New Orleans do this.  Also where would they get the money to support this move.  Ariza is a young developing talent.  Okafor is serviceable.  New Orleans could look to Detroit for a shooting guard since they have like 4 guys that play that position.

I can’t see the Hornets picking up THAT much salary.

Joe Johnson is making a billion dollars lol. His production is on the decline, while his salary is on a super incline.

David West will need to be re-signed and he expects to be paid.

And Tyson Chandler has had a great season… He’ll expect to be paid.

-My dude, Ariza’s been in the league for a hot minute. He is what he is.

I think yall are discounting the value of CP3.. He makes everyone look great.. Also, Chandler isnt going to get paid much.  Everyone is tight on money.. He might get 7 mill but the Hornets can afford that..

Also, I think that Atlanta regrets signing JJ to that big deal.. They will want to push Smith to his potiental.  Moving Horford to the PF would do wonders for him.

Also, IMO, the Hornets are in "Panic Mode" with CP3.. They are either gonna prove to him that they are commited to winning or they will lose him.. Sure Ariza and Landry were a step in the right direction there but JJ and Chandler eclipse both of those other guys….

I was hoping this would be about Jose Juan Barea.  Wrong JJ.

Ariza came in at 19 and a good basketball player keeps growing,  If you watch Ariza you will notice that his ball handling has gotten better.  If he can get an better mid range game.  He will have a legit offensive game to go with his defense.

Its all about dollars and cents. West + Joe + CP is getting close to 60 mil for 3 guys.

I think it would be really good for them if they could lose Johnson and that huge salary.  I just don’t think any other team will really want to trade for him.

Ive never really been a big fan of Josh Smith, i think he gets a lil more hype then other players because of his highlight material blocks and dunks…..but other than that imo hes nothing more then an average player. He never developed in2 the explosive 3 man that i think alot of people projected him 2 be. I would move Josh Smith for a center so i could move Horford who is a stud to his natural position at the 4. Maybe the could go after Delambert or Chandler 2 centers that i think would fit in perfectly with them an that dont need the ball an are good defensively so Horford could focus alot more on offense then guarding bigger 5 men.
