A nice move I can see the Knicks making is trading for Camby. They will have a log jam in LA and Camby loved New York and Knicks fans loved Camby. I have to play with some numbers but this is a possible trade. Let him come and then re-sign him for a modest salary next summer so he can finish out his career here in New York. He would add what we most desperately need; interior defense. He is also very mobile.

thats part of my grand master plan for the knicks bringing back Camby since were going to have no centers on the roster for next year, he had his best years in the Knicks and theres no reason they wont get him especially if they cant get a star big man in 2010(bosh,amare, dirk, etc)

kidding. i think the knicks have their center next year. if only curry lost around 30-40lbs, then i think he’d fit in mike d’s system (and walsh would have an easier time trading him). and i think they also picked up a center from d-league, i believe he was picked in the lottery before. he can play D, block shots and all. he could be like steven hunter when he was in phoenix.

Curry is the best offensive post-up center in the league. However, he will never get in shape and never fit our system. He could be very successful on a more traditional team. I thought he should have made the all-star team 2 years ago.

when they traded for z-bo on draft day, they screwed up the chemistry some more. curry and z-bo had a hard time co-existing in the paint (they hoped for a robinson/duncan post play perhaps?). that trade really sucks. stevie franchise’s contract would’ve expired this summer (and he’d do well under mike d, gone are his highlight reel dunks though). curry and frye’s games were compliments of each other. curry is a good post player and frye was finesse player who could shoot form the perimeter, and block some shots. now curry’s been injured most of the season and frye’s having a hard time getting his minutes in portland.

How about to Chicago for Tim Thomas, Roberson, Johnson and Nelson.

    Feedback?

Bulls have Noah to rebound and block shots (along with Tyrus Thomas). They need someone who could score more inside. I could see a match somehow with Clippers being that they have a glut of big men especially if they take Griffin which they have to.

On 2nd thought though Bulls would have to do deal. Getting Camby for nothing would be impossible to pass up. He gets hurt a lot but plays great defense and is better than Noah offensively. Thomas might actually learn something playing with Camby and they will have enough money in 2010 to sign someone if they want to come to Chicago. I’d love Bosh and could you imagine a better backcourt than Rose and Wade…..both homegrown! Can you imagine……Rose, Wade, Deng, Bosh and Camby?!?!?!?!? Only a Cub fan like myself would spend time being so optimistic for no reason. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted!
