There’s been reports coming out about the Butler trade. One reporter saying Butler could be heading to Miami plus a salary dump from Sacramento, with Richerdson and Whitehouse going to Mn and Dieng and draft picks heading to Sacramento.

Their thinking is on how much certain players are playing a lot and others not playing so much because of the fear of them getting hurt in preseason.

It’s been aweful quite and this subject and that’s another reason given by this reporter.

To me this is a great trade for all three teams. Very even.

They should trade Towns if the rumours that he wont resign are true and try this thing all over again with Wiggins, Whiteside and whatever massive haul they can get from Towns. You would think if Thibs would be able to remotivate Whiteside he could get him back into the all defensive team conversation but lately hes been a bum. He has 2 years left on his contract so it might be time for him to start playing well again.

In preseason, Hassan has been playing well probably because the Heat wants to boost his trade value.

I have read a few times in the past week or so that Miami do not want to trade Richardson.  This has to tell us just what jimmy butler is worth.

Minnesota have been asking alot for him, lets keep an eye out for Sacramento. They have some young talent and looking to take on salary for a draft pick

Sac-Town have about $11 million of cap space so are seen as the likely 3rd team if one is required and having no pick in next year’s draft are looking to get one to help with rebuild. They would likely take on Dieng’s contract and have Z-Bo, Shumpert and Koufos on final year of deals so if salaries needed to be matched could ship one of them across.

I just read on NBA.com this morning that Miami is basically shutting the talks down, Minny is asking too much and no one wants to take on Dieng’s contract. It’s ironic because if Butler wasn’t such a biatch about all of this I think he would have already been traded if he discussed it behind closed doors with management. But instead he had to run his mouth publically and even had the audacity to say which teams he wanted to be traded to. This instantly plummeted his worth.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, Butler is good but he’s not good enough to be demanding trades and giving a list of where he wants to be traded.

It’s really a shame because just a couple years ago he was a success story in Chicago, a guy who significantly improved and took the team on his back after some bad injuries. He went from role-player to star seemingly over night. Now here he is, he let it go to his head and he’s annoying his own teammates and other teams, trust me when you give a list of teams you alienate the other teams who may have been interested in you. It’s not a smart move.

The article did mention Houston is interested in him, so we will just have to see what happens. Will be nice and awkward if they fail to trade him and he has to stay in Minny. But maybe it will be a good reality check for him.

I don’t like Butler for cratering his value and the owner is a bit of muppet for doing the same..

The heat deal out there is meh kind of thing but is something better than nothing sort of move or do you play russian roulette and hope like anything you can convince him to stay and things smooth out?

Personally I would either trade him to someone for a legit need and player of a least 80% of Butlers level that could take a jump under Thibs…Especially if Kat and wiggins who are supposedly their franchise players aren’t meshing with him…This leads me to these teams:

Clippers for Avery Bradley,Gallanari and maybe a pick top-5 protected both fit needs and could do alright and fit needs/core. They get Dieng back also..

Rockets- Gordon,a pick and you involve third team that takes dieng deal and gets you a need maybe like z-bo+Buddy hield  from kings as at least they could give you something off the bench…Its kind of a low deal but gordon might fit nicely in starting lineup…

I would say cheers Heat but unless you take diengs deal give me Bam,Winslow,a pick and maybe an average deal(like either Waiters,Tyler J or Kelly O) to make it work then bye..Yet again low deal but you don’t want to be paying whiteside big bucks as I could see him riding the pine under Thibs..
