team needs until AFTER the lottery has been decided.

But for the hell of it, here’s what I want:

    The "I Wish" Tier= the top 7

The "Maaaaybe?" Tier= James Young, Harris and Aaron Gordon

The "realistic" Tier= McDermott, Samaj, Clarkson, GR III, and Seldon

The "Unsexy" Tier= Payne, McGary, and Anderson

The "2nd Rd" Tier= Jefferson, Stauskas (don’t think he comes out), Nash, Carson, Both Harrison Twins in the 2nd round (that can’t actual happen can it?), and Hairston

Do you believe that much in Gordon? I can’t think of any combo forwards that succeeded in the nba (lottery worth) and Gordon isn’t nearly as good as the best combo forwards to come out in recent years, i.e. Beasley, Derrick Williams

I do believe in combo forwards now that half of the teams in the NBA are playing a PF at the C spot. Beasley would be an absolute beast in the NBA if it wasn’t for his head. Williams I still will be a very good role player once he gets minutes and was in a bad position in Minny (still overrated for a #2 pick tho).

I am a firm believer in trying to put as many athletes around Rose as possible at this point (if we can’t get a stud which probably would have to be top 7).

I don’t think that Beasley or Williams are good comparisions.

Beasley is a mega talented offensive player that is way beyond the other two in that area. He also happens to be a worldclass knucklehead, which is the only thing standing in the way of him being a star. Williams is still finding his way, but he seems a bit passive to me and not a great athlete. At least he doesn’t have the footspeed to guard 3’s.

I think Gordon really reminds me of Shawn Marion. A rediculous athlete, with a lot of defensive potential and a big time motor. I don’t think that Gordon is really a 3 in the NBA, but will be able to play a lot of minutes at both forward positions. He will be a great asset to a team though for his energy, athleticism, and heart.

He could be a great defender.

Gordon will be fine defensively with his effort and athleticism whether he is guarding the 3 or the 4. That is really the best way to determine how successful a combo forward will be because on the offensive end he will use his whatever advantage he has whether it be speed to go around a 4 or size to go over a 3.

For every Michael Beasley and Derrick Williams there is a Jeff Green or Thad Young…it is really up to the player whether they succeed or not. Just because someone is undersized and don’t fit exactly in the mold of a certain player doesn’t mean they can’t make it in the league. If you can defend multiple positions you should be fine as a combo forward.

that you would draft GRIII, Slo-Mo, WCS and Tarcz over LaVine and Vonleh? That’s ridiculous!
