"Surgeon: Roy may have 1-2 years left in career"
I just saw this on ESPN. What do you guys think? I hope the doctor was wrong and Roy uses this as motivation to make himself better and come back better than ever.

Vivid5292ParticipantRoy is aruguably in the top 3 for the best shooting guards in the league. Hopefully his career’ll be alright. If not, he better start playing soon. Need to get them career stats up

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt is a sad story. He was the center of the rebuilding of the Blazers, and was the face behind of getting the fanbase back. He did a lot of good for the franchise and the league, and it is unfortunate that he won’t have a long career.
Ultimately, though, his case will probably be used as the reason why the next CBA will look to further reduce the number of guaranteed years that can be given in a contract.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAnd people thought I was crazy when I predicted Roy’s career would only last a couple of more seasons in the thread I made about his knees.
His situation is no joke. He has no mensicus. He’s playing bone on bone… thigh bone against leg bone in both of his knees. It’s impossible to play through that kind of pain consistently. Imagine the grinding. He’s done. Dipped in batter and fried.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe’s one of my favorite players, so I do feel bad… But I mean, the man did just sign a max contract last season. He’s guaranteed that money regardless, so I can’t feel too bad for the man.
