Brandon Paul has announced on his Twitter page (@BP3) that he will play in the NBA Summer League, and that he will play for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The T’Wolves were one of three NBA teams (Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks) to work Brandon Paul out twice before the NBA Draft.

Brandon will be playing on a team that will feature fellow T’Wolves rookies Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng. The role and opportunity that Brandon Paul will have remains to be seen. However, one thing is for certain. The T’Wolves do in fact need depth at the shooting guard position with Roy’s retirement and Malcolm Lee’s departure, and the team desperately needs players who can knock down perimeter jump shots off of drive-and-kicks by Ricky Rubio.

As an Illinois fan, I wish Brandon the best in his pursuit to achieve his NBA dreams.

Bazz will prolly play the 3 spot so Paul will see plenty of minutes.

It sounds like a good spot for him to go. I would say he is just as good a shooter as Shabazz if not better. Obviously Shabazz has a guaranteed contract to it isn’t like he would take his roster spot but I could still see Paul making the team.
