ChosenOneParticipantI might be taking it to far but does anyone know whats the record by a rookie for most points in a game?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 5:31pm #229818
JNixonParticipantYea, I was expecting Rookie of the Year, but not in the dominating fashion he has done it. He’s simply incredible, and he could be an All-Star starter in the East if he keeps it up. That would be CRAZY if he pulled it off…

IndianaBasketballParticipantAmazing third quarter by Jennings lol. That’s probably the best scoring quarter I’ve seen from somebody not named Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Melo, Durant, etc.
However, let’s not forget to mention who was defending him the entire third quarter… Acie Law. Terrible job by Law off the pick and roll. Curry actually was defending Jennings better. The Warriors made zero adjustments. They just kept letting him shoot or get into the lane. He hit 12-13 shots and they were literally all uncontested. It was pretty pathetic.

SupParticipantThis kid is gonna score 80 one day.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 5:55pm #229828
R-Dot-13ParticipantHe would bank his 50th point lol

R-Dot-13Participanthes actually making shots that seem impossible..
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 5:58pm #229833
Bryant24Participantthis guy is something serious i hope he lead the bucks to the playoffs
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:00pm #229834
IndianaBasketballParticipantHe probably could score 80 points versus the Warriors. They should be ashamed of themselves… Giving up 53 points in three quarters lol. This reminds me of Kobe’s 81 point game versus Toronto… They were damn near just letting him score. They’ve defended him a little better in the fourth quarter, but it’s too late now lol. He’s on fire.

ZaratukParticipantIf this gets to overtime I wonder how much Jennings will get…
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:01pm #229836
R-Dot-13Participantplease go to OT haha
if he scored in the 1st this would be even more epic
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:02pm #229837
OldSkoolBasketballParticipantYou guys have league pass or something? No bucks games are national televised. Can’t believe I said this guy might be a bust after he was drafted. I take back my words. This guy is better than Rubio.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:03pm #229838
IndianaBasketballParticipantI literally have not ONE doubt in my mind that if he would’ve been more aggressive in the first quarter, he would’ve had a chance to score 60-70 points.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:05pm #229839
R-Dot-13Participanti agree completely
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:06pm #229840
R-Dot-13ParticipantI love how people said “He cant shoot”
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:07pm #229841
Bryant24ParticipantHe was off in the first quater though he scored 55 i think he goin to break that before his career is over
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:08pm #229842
WhyParticipantVery special night. Just amazing. Granted it was against the Warriors, to do this in your 7th NBA game (and get the win) is nothing short of exceptional. I’m excited to see how far Brandon Jennings can take the Bucks. I’ve said it before but you can already hear whispers of Allen Iverson. I see it in his game too. Just awesome.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:08pm #229843
IndianaBasketballParticipant55 points and he did NOT score in the first quarter… The thing is he was also making plays for his teammates too. It was all in the flow of the game. Regardless of the Warriors’ sickening defense this is probably the greatest regular season performance by a rookie that I’ve ever seen.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:11pm #229845
R-Dot-13ParticipantAll star? good chance
ROY? Likely
MVP? Haha, if they keep winning… nah thats a stretch

R-Dot-13Participanthaha, i wanted the raps to get him, and slide jose to the 2, but i can imagine how knicks fans are thinking
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:20pm #229857
R-Dot-13Participantyou have to write in jennings lol
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:20pm #229856
IndianaBasketballParticipantI think Iverson was more athletic and explosive off the dribble (No knock on Jennings whatsoever… Iverson was just an amazing athlete), but I actually think Jennings has the POTENTIAL to be a better overall player than Iverson. We’ll never see another Iverson, but you had to cater to him because of his style of play. Iverson was a shooting guard in a point guard’s body. Jennings on the other hand is a point guard with both playmaking and elite scoring ability. Everything comes within the flow of the game. He probably only forced one or two shots tonight.
It’ll be interesting to see if he can keep this up. It’s still early and tonight’s game was versus the Warriors, but I’m starting to believe his performances are the rule, not the exception. If the Bucks keep winning and he keeps this up, I’m voting for him to start in the all-star game.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:41pm #229873
OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWhat really sucks is I dropped Jennings from the fantasy team.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:48pm #229877
IndianaBasketballParticipantNot only did you think Rubio was better than him, you dropped him from your fantasy team? You should shoot yourself ASAP.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 6:59pm #229878
Michael.S.ParticipantNo! there will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be another Allen Iverson, one of the best scorers ive ever seen, ever.
Hey guys lets not get caught up in the moment.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 7:21pm #229886
TwoCentsTVParticipantI know that Griffin hasn’t played yet, but it might be safe to say that Jennings is the best rookie in this class. His points will probably go down once Michael Redd comes back from injury, but if he gets his assists up, then the rookie of the year award is his to lose.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 7:22pm #229887
Michael.S.Participantagreed. Tyreke Evans will get some votes if the Kings keep winning though(unlikely)
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 7:25pm #229890
IndianaBasketballParticipantWhen Griffin returns, he’ll be brought along slowly and probably off the bench also. It’s early, but if Jennings and Evans keep up their play, the award will be between them.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 7:33pm #229891
JNixonParticipantIt’s going to Jennings…Evans’ season has been good, but Jennings has been on a different level from every other rookie. Even him. He should win it easily.
