Russell0WestbrookParticipantWhy are people on here saying he’s not better than rose and westbrook because he only played a few games? When lebron entered e league we knew after a few games that he was better than alot of people and i see that with jennings. He clearly outplayed rose when they went head to head so how is reose a better player than him? He also killed billups last night and billups is known for punishing small guards just look at what he did to paul in the playoffs. Its only been a couple of games but you can see when somebody is special and he is one of them. You have to give him credit whether its been a couple games or not he is winning with a team that people were thinking would be the worst in the league. Instead of giving people negatives for stating he’s better than a player they like give the facts why he’s not, other than its been a couple of games. Im not saying hes better than the top point guards im saying he better than just about all the up and coming point guards. Im saying this because he wins his match up every night and is the reason his sorry team is winning they dont even have redd who is hurt!

Russell0WestbrookParticipantHe also has a better record than both of them with alot less talent and is turning the ball over less than both players

RickyRubio9ParticipantRose was injured though during that game…but I’m a big supporter of Jennings, I’m not ready to put him over those two, but he’ll be up there before the end of the season if he keeps this up. Europe did the boy good! Hopefully he keeps it up and when Redd comes back this team can push for a Playoff Spot, they’ve got a nice group of players so I don’t see why they can’t. Jennings for R.O.Y!

R-Dot-13ParticipantHey, if he keeps up the way hes playing right now, he may be better at the end of the season, we just have to be sure he can keep it up
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 12:59pm #229136
jeff416ParticipantRose isnt even fully healthy yet wait atleast a few more games before you same something idiotic like that. Jennings has played very good this year but hes on a hot streak he will cool down theres no way he will shoot 45% from 3 this year and Rose was averaging more assists last year and this year hes good no doubt but hes still not better than Rose. Btw stop making these stupid kinda threads saying that another PG is better than Rose we get it your a Rose hater but you dont have to make one thread a day saying Jennings/Westbrook is better than Rose.

Russell0WestbrookParticipantwhat are your arguments saying rose is a better player than him?

- Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 1:00pm #229139
JNixonParticipant^^^Hell yea. It’s like you have to make a post involving Westbrook and Rose every single day. They aren’t the only 2 players in the NBA
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 1:00pm #229140
bigbusinessParticipantHe’s Better Than Rose.
Just Admit It.0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 1:01pm #229142
Russell0WestbrookParticipanti said now and its a fact hes playing better than both players. people are just on westbrook and roses nuts to keep it real. who cares about a injury if you’re hurt dont play nobody in the nba is 100% so thats just anthor excuse for rose he wasnt hurt when he blocked his shot. nobody has given any reason why he’s not better just subtrcting points if you’re gonna take points at least let me know why and let your argument be heard!

Russell0WestbrookParticipantI love rose actually im just not gonna ride his nuts like everybody else. he’s a great young talent and will be a great player one day i think he get to much credit for the bull winning games and making the playoffs last year. he was part of the reason but they were losing alot b4 they went and got miller and salmons.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 1:08pm #229146
R-Dot-13ParticipantJennings has definetly played better than rose so far.. but to prove hes actually a better player, he needs to keep it up, im not saying he wont, but if he does, i’ll back you up .
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 1:18pm #229154
IndianaBasketballParticipantWhen you have young talented guards such as Rose, Westbrook and Jennings, you can’t use one or two head to head matchups to determine who’s better (unless one just completely dominantes the other to a point it’s obvious). Each of these guys are going to outplay each other. It’s going to go back and forth. It’s silly to say that Jennings is better than Rose (or vice versa) because he outplayed him statistically (but got his shot blocked to win the game by Rose) one game. Rose might outplay Jennings next game. What are we going to say then? That Jennings isn’t on Rose’s level lol? You have to go by a body of work. That’s why I continue to say it’s only been ten games.
Each player is different. They’re in different situations, have different roles and are on teams heading in different directions. Each player has their strengths and weaknesses.

rtbtParticipantIf you read some my previous threads, you know I don’t think very much of many NBA GMs. Those are the guys who passed on DuJuan Blair, Chase Budinger, and the Swedish guy who starts for Detroit, Jonas Jerebko.
As I looked over last spring’s draft, 8 teams passed on Brandon Jennings. Minnesota, who drafted two point guards at 5 and 6, passed on him twice. Some of those 8 teams desperately needed a PG.
What do you guys think?

butidonthavemoneyI kinda liked Jennings wayyyy back in the day. Then when this website became one big debate between Rubio and Jennings, I sided with Rubio. Then after Jennings said that stuff about Rubio, I didn’t like him anymore. Then when he said that stuff about New York I changed my mind again. So I think he’s pretty cool.
I’ll take Rose, Westbrook or Rubio over Brandon Jennings right now. Even though he is playing very good, and is easily the best rookie right now.

JNixonParticipantI remember Jay Bilas talking about how Jennings could slip to the early 20’s…..I remember saying to myself, “if Brandon Jennings comes to Philly, I will be a very happy man.” Now if he would’ve fell to the Sixers at 17..how many teams would’ve looked like fools?
We all know the Knicks, Warriors, Kings and Minnesota could’ve used him. He would probably have eye popping numbers in New York, he would’ve been a beast at Golden State even though he might have clashed heads with Nelson and the other egos on that team, and Sacto isn’t complaining after landing Evans. Minnesota isn’t either with Flynn.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAccording to your logic… Greg Oden has outplayed Tim Duncan and Al Jefferson this season. I guess that means he’s better than them, huh?

Russell0WestbrookParticipanthow is oden outplaying tim duncan? thats totally stupid hes out scoring and rebounding oden so how is he playing better than him? I dont really judge player off team success but alot of people on here do thats why i’ve been using it lately. Look at paul the best point in the game stuck in a horrible situation but that doesnt make him worse cuz of his record!

bigbusinessParticipantits quite obvious that the “o” and the “p” are like very very close to each other.
and it’s also obvious you dont know basketball.0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 1:45pm #229189
butidonthavemoneyIt’s a very cpmmpn mistake. I aoplpgize fpr saying that because it is very opssible tp cpnfuse the “p” and the “o”. Sprry again.

Russell0WestbrookParticipanti could use the rose (hurt) excuse with jefferson but im not but we all know oden is nowhere close to either of those players

IndianaBasketballParticipantJennings is playing better than Rose and Westbrook right now, but it’s only been ten games. Do you honestly think that Rose’s averages are going to stay like that the entire season lol? If they do, then he will have regressed from his rookie year TREMENDOUSLY. It’s so obvious he’s playing hurt right now the same as Al Jefferson is. Jefferson’s numbers are WAY down and he looks nothing like the player he was before the injury.
This is my last time talking about this though. I see that a lot of you are jumping on Jennings’ bandwagon because he’s been playing well the first ten games. I’m a little amazed because one of you said you’d pick Rose number one over Durant, Griffin, Beasley and Oden once upon a time and now you’re saying Jennings will pass Rose by the end of the year. I’m going to give Jennings his props for busting out the gate, but I’ll pick this up at the mid-way point of the season. I need at least a half body of work to make accurate judgements.

MkadozaParticipanttezo its only been six games for Jennings making this hoopla seem a smidge premature. tezo your insight and calm attitude when people are jumping on the next fad in seconds is appreciated. From what I understand two weeks do not an NBA career make. And a lot of people should remember that.

TheFutureofthisgameParticipantI love Jennings as a player and he is doing fantastic for a rookie but better then Rose? First off like Tezo said theres only been 6 games for him. Let’s see if he can lead his team and stay consistent for his team and wait until the season unfolds more before there any bold predictions.

Meditated StatesParticipantJennings is better than Telfair. Does anyone dispute that?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 11/12/2009 - 10:51pm #229302
butidonthavemoneyTelfair is underrated. He has more experience than Jennings. He also got better grades in high school. Did you know Jennings flunked Alegbra II? Telfair sure didn’t!
Still think Jennings is better? Huh?
Yeah, I thought so.
