Bradley Beal says the Washington Wizards, currently winless at 0-11 and the worst team in the NBA, still have a chance at making the playoffs. lol. I understand he is probably a competitive guy trying to be optimistic, but come on.

“We’re 0-11 but we still have 71 more games,” Beal said following Saturday night’s double-overtime loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. “It’s still a long season and we still have an opportunity to get over .500.

“That’s our goal and we need to shoot for it. Just try to get in the playoffs. I mean, we’re going to make it. I have faith in this team and I think we’re more than capable of doing it.”

    Well…

It’s possible. Wall hasn’t played. Nene has only played what… 2 games?

His goal should be trying to get his team a win for crying out loud they are 0-11, Beal hasn’t done anything to impress me this year especially with his shooting 33% from both the field and outside

Have you watched the wizards? Defenses key on him because he is the only offensive threat on the floor. Lets get halfway through the season to get a semi accurate gauge on percentages

I still rather seen the Wiz go after Barnes instead.

This draft is looking pretty weak, the pf selection is the weakest position too.

Sucks. Wizards need a stud big man instead of projects. weaker than 2011 as a whole?

It isn’t going to be that weak. There are only two bigs I would take in this draft, both are defensive centers Noels and Adams.

If you have a look at their games all of them but one have been lost by single digits. A couple have gone to OT so they are definitely not as bad as that 0-11 record but i do think the playoffs are out of the question……

I bet they wish they could do that no6 Vesely pick again. Kawhi Leonard, Faried, Markieff Morris

Regardless of whether the Wizards can concievably make the playoffs, Rookie shouldn’t be running his mouth

Come on guys, what do you want him to say? The Truth? He’s an athlete at the highest level and if he doesn’t think his team can play to their full potential than who will? And also, nowadays these guys are trained to speak to the media because they’ve been dealing with them since High School, I honestly don’t think half the players on bad teams who say their team is going to make the playoffs even believe it. It’s unfair to criticize Beal about this. Now his 33% shooting from the field is a whole different conversation.

The Wizards took Ofakor and Ariza to try and get better quicker instead of preserving cap space, so being 0-11 is a huge let down as they finished last season 6-0. I think that Indyball has hit it on the head as usual pointing out that their best two players have been out for all bar two games.

But they have still got more depth than say Charlotte and no way should be 0-11. Having taken on Okafor and Ariza have they pushed the younger guys further down the rotation and having taken on Nene earlier in the year they have a very crowded front court and they have Beal and Wall as their backcourt so obvious draft targets don’t seem clear.

Maybe they could target Bazz and consider using him as an SF.

The key will be when they get Nene and Wall back into the starting line up, if they don’t improve then, I could well see changes in the franchise being made.
