providencefriars1ParticipantBox score Bits 11-15Game I watched: Duke 74 vs Michigan St 69I saw good things out of both teams in this game. In regards to Michigan St, it is clear that they can play with anyone down low and on the boards. They out rebounded Duke and UNC in their first two games, both of those teams have solid frontlines. And again, even though Appling and Wood combined for 48 points, they were still out played by Duke’s guards which will continue to be a problem when they face good teams. Also, Branden Dawson showed why he should be considered one of the best freshmen in the country be playing physically and scoring inside.I have Duke in my Final Four predictions and I’m pretty confident with that choice. They also have solid bigs who are athletic and can rebound. Ryan Kelly showed an ability to stretch the defense with the jump shot, which is essential at the four position. Duke’s guards, though, are the strength of the team. Dawkins and Curry showed in this game that they can flat out stroke it and will provide a scoring lift in the half court. Austin Rivers played poorly in this game, but I have full confidence that he will turn his performance around by the end of the season. Bottom line, Duke is a well rounded team who can score on the inside and kill you with the three ball.Important game results:Washington St 81 at Gonzaga 89UNI 41 at St Mary’s 57Belmont 81 at Memphis 97SDSU 67 at Baylor 77Kent St 70 at West Virginia 60URI 90 at Texas 100Duke 74 at Michigan St 69Lasalle 69 at Nova 77Rutgers 57 at Miami 72Florida 74 at Ohio St 81Iowa St 65 at Drake 74Pepperdine 66 at Arizona St 60Middle Tennessee 86 at UCLA 66Colorado St 52 at Stanford 64Kentucky 75 at Kansas 65Terrence Jones, PF Kentucky- 15pts, 7reb, 3blkMichael Kidd-Gilchrist, SF Kentucky- 12pts, 9reb, 4ast, 3blk, 5to’sAnthony Davis, PF/C Kentucky- 14pts, 6reb, 7blk, 6/8fgDoron Lamb, SG Kentucky- 17pts, 4reb, 3/5 3ptMarquis Teague, PG Kentucky- 12pts, 3ast, 6to’sThomas Robinson, PF Kansas- 11pts, 12reb, 1blk, 5flsTyshawn Taylor, PG Kansas- 22pts, 2ast, 2stl, 15/17ftAndre Dawkins, SG Duke- 26pts, 5reb, 2stlSeth Curry, G Duke- 20pts, 5reb, 3ast, 5stlAustin Rivers, SG Duke- 5pts, 1/7fg, 3astPatric Young, C Florida- 14pts, 12reb, 1blkBrad Beal, SG Florida- 17pts, 3reb, 5to’sKenny Boynton, SG Florida- 15pts, 2ast, 3/6 3ptJared Sullinger, PF Ohio St- 16pts, 6reb, 3ast, 4/8fgWilliam Buford, SG Ohio St- 21pts, 6reb, 3astDeshaun Thomas, F Ohio St- 15pts, 6reb, 4/10fgAaron Craft, PG Ohio St- 13pts, 7ast, 3stlJP Oluwekemi, SF Oklahoma St- 15pts, 4reb, 3stlLeBryan Nash, SF Oklahoma St- 5pts, 5reb, 3to’s, 2/8fgDeniz Kilici, C West Virginia- 11pts, 15reb, 2blk, 3/10fgKevin Jones, PF West Virginia- 15pts, 18reb, 3to’sAdonis Thomas, SF Memphis- 12pts, 3reb, 1blk, 5/9fgJoe Jackson, PG Memphis- 20pts, 4reb, 7ast, 6/7fgWill Barton, SG Memphis- 23pts, 5reb, 3ast, 7/12fgWesley Witherspoon, SF Memphis- 22pts, 5reb, 2stl, 8/8fgKevin Pangos, G Gonzaga- 33pts, 6ast, 9/13 3ptElias Harris, SF Gonzaga- 14pts, 11reb, 3to’sRobert Sacre, C Gonzaga- 15pts, 10reb, 3blk, 13/13ftQuincy Acy, F Baylor- 13pts, 9reb, 2ast, 2blkQuincy Miller, SF Baylor- 20pts, 6reb, 3to’sNikola Malescevic, SF URI- 22pts, 5reb, 6/11fgJamal Wilson, SG URI- 24pts, 5reb, 2ast, 3stlMyck Kabongo, PG Texas- 18pts, 9ast, 7reb, 3stl, 4to’sJ’Covan Brown, SG Texas- 35pts, 6reb, 6ast, 2stlDorenzo Hudson, SG VA Tech- 31pts, 5reb, 8/13fgDorian Finney-Smith, SF VA Tech- 14pts, 10reb, 5ast, 2stlKris Joseph, SF Cuse- 19pts, 4reb, 8/14fgFab Melo, C Cuse- 8pts, 7reb, 4/5fg, 4flsMark Lyons, SG Xavier- 21pts, 5ast, 4rebTu Holloway, PG Xavier- 22pts, 5reb, 4astDion Dixon, SG Cinnci- 20pts, 9reb, 2stl, 2blk, 5to’sCashmere Wright, PG Cinnci- 23pts, 6reb, 4ast, 2stl, 5to’sMaalik Wayns, PG Nova- 22pts, 9reb, 4astDomenic Cheek, SG Nova- 18pts, 8reb, 12/14ftMouphtaou Yarou, PF Nova- 10pts, 14rebDurand Scott, SG Miami- 19pts, 5reb, 4ast, 2blkMalcolm Grant, SG Miami- 19pts, 2reb, 2astJeff Taylor, SF Vandy- 14pts, 6reb, 2astKeith Appling, PG Michigan St- 22pts, 3reb, 8/10fgMatthew Dellavadova- PG St Mary’s- 11pts, 7ast, 4reb, 7to’sChase Tapely, SG SDSU- 28pts, 8/10 3pt, 4reb, 4stlKeith Wright, PF Harvard- 15pts, 10reb, 2stl, 4to’sAndrew Smith, C Butler- 16pts, 10reb, 5/8fgMike Scott, PF Virginia- 18pts, 8reb, 6/9fgDJ Cooper, PG Ohio- 22pts, 5reb, 3astChris Braswell, F Charlotte- 22pts, 10reb, 7/8fgTrey Zeigler, SG Central Michigan- 22pts, 15reb, 4to’sJorge Guitterez, PG California- 14pts, 6reb, 3ast, 4to’sD’Aundray Brown, SG Cleveland St- 24pts, 9rebRyan Pearson, PF George Mason- 16pts, 12rebRoyce White, SF Iowa St- 21pts, 14reb, 4astTrent Lockett, SG Arizona St- 23pts, 9reb, 2blkOrlando Johnson, SG/SF UCSB- 21pts, 4reb, 2astJoshua Smith, C UCLA- 15pts, 9reb, 6/9fg11/16My top 25- UNC
