    Boston gets:

    Eric Maynor
    Kendrick Perkins
Perry Jones III (or Jeremy Lamb)
    Toronto Raptors 1st round pick

    OKC gets:

    Kevin Garnett
    Jason Collins
    Chris Wilcox

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=atwrwk5

Boston builds toward the future and OKC gets bigger and better on defense.

    What do you think?

Im not feelin it. It’s a good idea but I dont like it for Boston really. Maynor could help fill in for the year and be an ok backup but he hasnt looked too good since coming back from injury. Perkins brings help down low but he has been terrible for a few years now idt anybody understands why he even plays for OKC. I get that he brings intensity and he is good in the locker room but his play has been awful on both ends. No way they give up Lamb i dont think so it would be PJIII. He has some good upside but with Green Bass and hopefully Sullinger I dont see him getting much more playing time in Boston. Draft pick could be good but its not a given.

On the flip side OKC gives up a bad player with a bad contract in Perkins, they dont really need Maynor with Reggie Jackson, and with the awesome young core they already have they dont really need Jones or the draft pick. Getting Garnett in return instantly ups their chances for winning a championship. They get back the intense defensive leader and locker room guy that they lose in Perkins and they also get a good scorer down low who can stretch the D with long jumper which is just what they need next to Ibaka. He would probably mentor Ibaka and turn him into even more of a defensive beast.

Dude your borderline aggravating go somewhere and it’s Payton not Peyton; this trade is pretty good but Garnett won’t waive his no trade clause and people are thinking he may retire after the season. Pj3 and a lottery pick is a steep price

Haha I just enjoy talking about basketball, can I enjoy talking about the sport I play and love before I leave for basic training Monday? Just because it says I’m online doesn’t mean I am on the site, don’t get mad at me because your basketball knowledge is minimal

Why did you have to throw basic training in their bro? No body says that you cant enjoy it but obsessing over something is ridiculous. I respect you for your service. Saying that you dont know nothing. Your a hype beast anything thats common sense you say. Thats not good basketball knowledge thats good ESPN and hoopshype Knowledge. I played as well so what does that have to do with anything.

I’m not throwing anything out there as an excuse and I’m hardly a hype beast, I didn’t buy into the Anthony Davis hype or the Oladipo hype and have stated my points on here. I’m hardly obsessing over this site but when you graduate early and you don’t have I work you have alot of free time wouldn’t you say? When have I made a LeBron or Miami thread?

The trade does have some logic and if KG would not waive his no trade clause to link up with KD then he never would!

LeBron’s Hairline is one of the better posters on here and so to see him being “called out” by some unknown person is basically funny and unjustified.

The C’s have done pizzed me off now. These fool aren’t going to blow it up or make any major moves. Garnet has been saying he isn’t going wave his no trade. Rondo will be out until mid season next year. Paul will be 36, Garnet 38. This is our future until these guys decide to hang em up.

It is best if they trade paul pierce for their future, at least get something for him before he retires. Even if it is a first round pick at least it will be something to build on. They arent winning with this group of older players so tear it down and build around rondo if they like him and if not trade rondo. They did this once to get the their championship team. They acquired young assets that they could trade and got kevin garnett and ray allen to go with pierce. Now they have rondo, so they need to get young assets and or a really good free agent and then trade the young players for an all star or borderlin all star to go with rondo. Bottom line blow it up, find 2 great/ really good players to go with rondo, then they can contend again.

Why’d they rather take Perkins, Lamb, and a low lottery pick in a crappy draft over Bledsoe and Jordan, which already fell through?

A lot depends on what teams want to do, will they be content to keep making the play offs whilst not really competing or do they take a step back to try and become real contennders again.
