    This team has caught my eye. They have a good team as it is now and have youth to go along with it. Their two best players are sophomores in Anthony Drmic and Derrick Marks. Drmic is a G-F combo that can score and Marks is an electrifying guard. They might be a sleeper for me. Anybody know anything more about them? Any solid big men?

    I know that they almost beat my MSU team while we were at home to snap a huge non-conference home winning streak we have… Marks is impressive. If he develops his PG skills he could play in the NBA. I think they could win 1 maybe two games in the NCAA tourney if they get in.

      Agreed, I think they’re very solid and could pull a shock or two. I am a big fan of Marks game. Agreed with you on the NBA, need to get better ball handling and all-around PG skills and he could make it.

    As a UNLV fan, I worry that Boise State will be excluded from the tournament. The MWC has been #1 or #2 in conference RPI the whole season, and we have five teams with a top-40 RPI. We deserve to get five teams in, but the lack of success in the NCAA Tournament might very well only get us four bids. If this was the Big Ten, Boise State would be a lock. The selection committee is not supposed to factor in the past when evaluating teams. It’s only supposed to be based on the merits of the current season.

    I’m a big UNM Lobos fan, so I’ve been keeping a close eye on the MWC all season. Boise State is definitely a sleeper team granted they make it to the tournament. When Marks gets on a roll, he’s tough to stop. I think the MWC is constantly underrated, the teams don’t get the respect because of the mid-major conference designation. There should be five MWC teams in the tourney this year though: UNM, UNLV, SDSU, CSU, and Boise State.

      If they get 5 teams in, which I think they will win, that would have to make them the best mid-major conference of all-time, I’d imagine.

      That’s MORE than half of the teams in their conference (there are only 9 teams in the Mountain West)!

    They better make The Tourney. If you compare Boise’s resume to other squads on the bubble, Boise deserves to get in.

    What separates them from other squads on the bubble is their quality true road win against Dougy McDermott and Creighton.
