PhogifyParticipantWhat are your favorite blocked shots? They can be from all time, and on any level (i.e. NBA, college, high school, etc.) I’ll start with mine.
JaVale McGee
I’m not sure if it is possible to have a block thread without JaVale McGee. JaVale gets up in this one for a block famously known as the “Venus Fly Trap”.
Wayne Selden
This is just a great mixtape overall, with many great blocks from Wayne Selden, so I would sugguest watching the whole thing. Buuuut, if you would really like to see the ball get the air stuffed out of it, skip to 2:48.
Thomas Robinson
It’s pretty obvious that I’m a KU fan, so this one is pretty special to me. This is KU’s last meeting with Missouri before MU moves to the SEC, and possibly their last time playing ever. Missori was up by 19 points in the second half and T-Rob just wouldn’t let the Jayhawks lose. This blocked shot is occurring just after Robinson ties the game with a three point play on the other end. KU goes on to win in OT. This concludes one of the great college rivalries.
What are some of your favorite blocks?

ChoppyParticipantTayshaun Prince’s block on Reggie Miller. One of my favourite plays ever.

GrandmamaParticipantNot the most amazing block, but given the importance this was huge.
This next block is at 2:11. I don’t know who the kid is that’s trying to dunk, but he gets UP. You can see one dude in the stands start to put his hand up as he expects a huge dunk, but Nerlens say nope.
These ones are epic, 1993 playoffs

PhogifyParticipantReally nice blocks there, appreciate the Noel mix too. Him and Selden must have been crazy on the same team back in high school.

Bias cause I’m a Nate fan, but this block was nasty. So were all of Nate’s other blocks he’s had.
This is his block on Marshon Brooks, not Yao like the poster above me posted.

HitsterParticipantOne I recall is D-Rose early in his rookie year raced back to block a shot from a quick break, I cannot recall who it was against.

DolanCareParticipantLBJ block on Splitter in the Finals was the best show of physical dominance I’ve ever seen. It was just so clean. So clean. Put Tiago to rest.
Then there was the block Nate put on LBJ in last years playoffs as well. Nate was on a tear, and that block was just part of his ascension.

DolanCareParticipantOnce again you live up to your reputation as an a**hole, PurpleMonkey. The LBJ block on Splitter was incredible. The center had momentum and an open lane. LBJ blocked him without ever making contact- that includes their bodies.
As for the Nate block, I mistyped. I meant to say, I liked Nate’s block too, which was also in last year’s playoffs. I didn’t think that was a show of physical dominance like the Splitter rejection.
But please continue to post your two-line forum gems that rarely say anything informative or entertaining. You’re really good at that.

frogmanParticipantJason Richardson kinda deserved that but still, he cracked him straight across the wrists. One of the most obvious fouls there ever was.

BenchWarmerParticipantYour favorite blocks of all time include kobes weak blocks on Lebron in an allstar game. We know you like kobe and dislike lebron but don’t follow up those big blocks by jordan with those.
