    NBA Talks

    Evan Turner for Dion Watiers

I would not do if I am the Cavs, Need more of a pure shooter and scorer, I feel jack and Irving a good ball handlers no need for a guy who does most of his damage with the ball

    Asik for Millsap

If I was Atlanta I would consider but i dont think I would do it, milsap is a great player very easy contract bangs downlow. Never really complains and gets the job done. But putting AL at PF would be great

    Zack For Anderson

I dont know what type of team Memphis is trying to be but its over for them. Its not the trade that scares me , I think it could be decent its the way the team in constructed and the new office empasis on uptempo

Cavs got low balled, as many GMs assumed the Cavs had to get rid of him, but they actually like the way he responded with many 20+ pt games and accepting being the 6man. They also believe that his accusations of "buddy ball" between Kyrie and Tristan Thompson has caused them and others to improve ball movement after it.

The Milsap for Asik trade makes more than enough senses for both teams. Milsap is a great rebounder and can stretch the floor well enough to be effective in Houston’s lineup. Asik is just what the Hawks need, a real center, they can move Horford to his natural position and it would really improve there defense. Might take a draft pick to get it done but this would be great for both squads.

Evan Turner for Dion Waiters would also benefit both teams. Cleveland would get some size and defense at the 2 guard position. Philly might as well get something for Turner since he’s probably leaving at seasons end. Waiters is a pretty good player to get back for someone your gonna lose anyway. He can shoot the 3 and just flat out score the ball. He could surely use a change of scenery. Really hope this trade goes down.

for Asik would put Houston to no 1 favorites to win west. It would be great for them to actually have a guy who has post game and also Millsa showed 3pt range this season.Horford also would be even better playing PF,which he really is,and Asik would just had to concetrate on D.Dont like Waiters trade.

I don’t want Waiters for Turner. Waiters is a good player, but I’m not sure what the point of getting him would be. If we win the lottery and get Wiggins then he would be our shooting guard, and Waiters doesn’t seem like the kind of complete player that would fit for us.

I would rather trade Evan for expiring deals and a first round pick, even if the pick isn’t this year.

i also want no parts of Asik, especially for ThaddeusYoung. Hawes and Turner should be traded before Youg simply because he is under contract for a reasonable amount and is able to  give good minutes at both forward  positions . Asik is a good player, but if we were open to getting a center, and moving Noel to the 4, then I would rather just draft Embiid.

It is astounding that a team can go from Western Conference finals to being a sub .500 team with the only major offseason change being a new head coach. They shouldn’t have got rid of Hollins. What a terrible mistake just because of "statistics"

I just don’t understand why some people blame stats so much. There are several stat-driven GM’s in the league (like Daryl Morey)… If Houston does OK, most people say "he has great instincts"… if Houston doesn’t do OK, I lot of people will say "it’s because he made decisions based on stats".

Having said that… stats are not the entire true, they’re just an overview of a really big situation. I don’t think any of us know how stats are being used as decision tools by GM’s in the NBA. If Hollins didn’t fit the new management in Memphis adequately (for whatever reason)… then it’s only reasonable that the organization let him go. Sometimes the process is longer than they expect, though.

Asik’s cap is 8 million but the team that trades for him will still have to pay the 15 million salary
