AusBobParticipantWould you like/dislike the theory If, the Blazers trade down for Rudy Gobert and allow him and Meyers Leonard one more year in the NBA to develop physically and aim for the 2014 draft when more potential ability comes into play.
Batum’s presence will allow Gobert to fit in trouble free (no language barrier) and prompt bonding. Having (Bigs) Aldridge, Leonard, Claver, Gobert (Wings) Batum and 2014 1st round pick (Guards) Lillard, Matthews, Barton
That would be a solid young core for a team with established leadership while having excellent overall size & length, shooting and athleticism/court speed across the roster.
Plus Blazers do not mind drafting international players.
Please share, Thanks

AusBobParticipantWorst case scenario, the Blazers are in the lottery of 2014. A huge blessing in disguise.

PortlandTrailblazers21ParticipantWith Their second round picks I think they should draft Brandon Paul/Ricardo Ledo,Brandon Davies, And Trevor Mbakwe, unless players like Livio Jean-Charles and Reggie Bullock, and Glen Rice Jr. fall back, then those guys would be steals.

AusBobParticipantBlazers fans may dream of a gift from God. One more go with the 1st Overall pick in 2014. After consecutive Number one draft pick not going to plan due to injury. May there be a third time lucky chance from the Basketball Gods?

Memphis MadnessParticipantThey could trade down to 17 and 18 and go with Dieng (for defense, shot blocking, and size) and Glen Rice Jr. for scoring and outside shooting. Rice might not be there at with the Blazers’ second round picks.
Then in the second round they can go after a backup point guard (Siva, Pierre Jackson, or Kabongo or someone), and an extra big man (Kenny Kadji, or Trevor Mbakwe).
I would like a wing rotation of Batum, Wes Matthews, Will Barton, and Glen Rice Jr. To go with Damian Lillard at point and LMA and Meyers Leonard/Gorgui Dieng inside.

Memphis MadnessParticipantThey also need to think about doing a JJ Hickson sign and trade. They need to see what JJ Hickson, and their 3 second round picks can get in this draft.
