The FBI asked the NCAA to back off until they finished their case.  Once this trial is over, how cooked is Bill Self based on what has come out in evidence.  I don’t see how he keeps his job.

confidently say Kansas fans think he is a god. They are obsessed with the conference streak and their football team is so bad they over analyze basketball. I heard from many people mentioning "rumors" that Self wanted to leave KU at some point for the NBA because he thought the NBA would be less stressful than dealing with the Kansas faithful.

However, if Self were to leave it would be because 1. He wanted to or 2. the NCAA bans him in some way. There is no way KU as a university would get rid of him. KU basketball is what is keeping all the other KU sports teams from going into the red. Self/Bball generates so much money that the University literally relies on it to operate.

Honest option- This is what I think will happen:

The NCAA chickens out on prosecuting anyone when this all over, too afraid of hurting their money bottom line.

KU pulls some political answer crap like "Well the NCAA says we are fine, so everything is ok"

KU fans put their heads in sand and say all this Self talk is lies and slander OR they say "Well, everyone is cheating, its not our fault our coach is better at it" and continue to Love Self anyway.

Self coaches 2-5 more years and retires/ leaves for NBA whenever HE wants to.

Side question: With this dragging in Zion and him being at Duke, is a Nike or Under Armour investigation coming next?

i cant say anything as far as the university of kansas and bill self’s job, but as far as the NCAA chickening out on prosecuting, i think you’re very wrong. i suspect its a lot deeper than you think. its looking like louisville and pitino, and now kansas and bill self. and i dont think its contained to just some of these adidas teams either.

Sean Miller kept his job at Arizona after he was caught authorizing the payment of Deandre Ayton on an FBI phone tap. Louisville was caught red handed paying Brian Bowen Jr., ruined the kids career, fired their aging coach, hired an up and coming star, in Chris Mack, and now have 5 top 100 recruits for 2019. Based off that I’m sure Self will keep his job, and thrive more than ever. The NCAA is a joke. They have no real power because the big schools run everything.

i fully believe sean miller and numerous other coaches/programs cheat. But so far there is no evidence sean miller approved any kind of payment for ayton or anyone else. Even the rumors just state miller told the guy over the phone to deal directly with him, it didnt actually include any specific details about money being exchanged

Working for the NCAA & all these creepy old privileged white people getting rich off poor inner city kids (off ALL colors)

So they Force the Top kids to play for Free for a year in the NCAA – risking a Fortune that can rescue their family from poverty

And they take a few grand – which is Peanuts compared to what they will make in the NBA – & a Government agency funded w/ OUR Tax Dollars is spending MILLIONS to catch inner city kids taking THOUSANDS !?!?!??!

So let me get this straight — you can’t figure out 19 almost retarded terrorsts are learning to Fly planes in 2001 & telling the instructors "We don’t need to learn how to land" – they take down Iconic Buildings in NY & DC killing THOUSANDS of Americans

You can’t catch supposed Cyber interference in our elections from China & Russia

You can’t stop School shootings when parents are CALLING the FBI & BEGGING them to Arrest the Kid!

They can’t Stop the Vegas shooting – the Worst mass murder in US History! Or even Figure out what happened a year later

But they are gonna spend MILLIONS to make sure the NCAA Criminals can keep their Slave Plantation up & running!

    Priorities People

no one is forced to go to college. They can play in g league or go overseas and get paid. They most often choose the college route becuase its the best way to market themselves and improve their brand and stock for the nba draft thus going to college is helping them make money.

the NCAA is NOT a private business. They are a Nationally Funded/Acknowledged Non-Profit Organization. This is how/why the FBI can go in and charge these guys for defrauding a non-profit organization. The law they’re using was meant to keep people from using charities as a way to hide $ for tax purposes (non-profits are almost universally tax exempt) or using them as a personal checking account. I can guarantee the author(s) of the law never intended for it to be used in anything close to this manner. I have to agree with Gary Parrish of CBS, in order for these guys to be guilty, someone needed to be “defrauded” and no one involved seems like a victim to me. Least of all Louisville, Kansas and the rest of the NCAA schools.

Bill Self is a legend with the Jayhawks and I don’t see them ever voluntarily firing him, he has a few years left on his contract so if the allegations aren’t too bad, I’d see him serving them out. He’d then be nearing 60 so could easily just quietly retire.
