Cousins is really good, hes gonna be a very good big man in the NBA for years to come..

and Whiteside blocked almost everything, great help-defending with those blocks

The Kings really got the steal of the Draft with Whiteside and if Cousins can keep his head on straight they will be back in contention in no time. This is what can happen if your team happens to be lucky enough to grab the best player available in the draft and that player fills a need.

Yeah..Cousins ,Monroe & Whiteside were impressive today..Cousins showed the same power moves today that he displayed at Kentucky..He grabbed rebounds that werent in his area..Dont be surprised to see him in the top 5 in rebounds next fall..But at times he seemed to take some plays off..No NBA coach will go for that..Whiteside seemed to be more focused on blocking every shot..Thats a good mentality to have,..But you cant block every shot..He showed a nice little hook shot and skills to run the floor…Monroe seems to get better each game..He has an old school game..Almost like Danny Manning..He really really needs to add some more weight..

Another thing that caught my attention during the Kings game..Was when coach Westphal said that the Kings were thinking about taking Whiteside at number 5…WOW!!

That was one of the Maloofs (owners) that said that about taking Whiteside at 5, but it suprised me as well.

I hope they can both keep up this play through summer league and carry it over into actual NBA games.

People think I’m crazy when I said Cousins could average a double double this year. It’s very possible if he gets reasonable minutes. At the least, I could see him averaging around 12-14pts, 9 rebs.

Speaking of….anybody got any ideas on how Coach Petrie is gonna work that bigman rotation?

Dalembert, Cousins, Landry, Thompson, Whiteside.. .alot of talent to work in a rotation, who gets left out?

sac aint making the playoffs this year, so i would go ahead and start cousins at center and then carl landry at pf becasue he is the best pf they have. Thompson just looks like a career backup in my book and dalembert will get plenty of minutes but in the last year of his deal, he is more of a non factor long term so i doubt they invest 30+ minutes in him unless cousins proves to not be ready. Whiteside will have to earn minutes and despite blocking shots and providing energy, he’s not probably not ready for bug minutes.

I believe the Kings will trade Dalembert to another team before the season starts if Cousins & Whiteside continue to play well..They need a point guard…

I think the biggest mistake the Kings could make right now is trading away talent for a PG; let Tyreke run at point. He can guard almost any PG in the NBA just as well as anyone the Kings could bring in, so since he will be ball dominate on offence and will not lose step on defense, why not play him at point? They need to bring in a shooter who is not a liability on defense (that can guard SG’s and some PG’s). I think that would create mismatches with almost any team they play, because then the other teams SG would have to choose between guarding Tyreke or the SG, both of which would create a mismatch for the other player.

MagikKnick: Whiteside will be the player left out, unless someone is injured he will have to work for his minutes, but because coach Westphal likes to give everyone multiple chances, he will get an opportunity to prove he can play with the big boys.

Ridnour may work well with Evans because he can shoot and maybe spot up when Evans needs the ball
