Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer or TayShaun Prince and Zack Randolph?

Who would you choose and why?

    Luol Deng>TayShaun Prince
    Zack Randolph>Carlos Boozer

    Does it even out?

I would pick the grizzlies pair by a decent margin thanks to Randolph being a force down low, and Prince being a solid playoff guy who is a good defender. Boozer doesn’t play enough defense for my taste and while Deng is a excellent player I don’t think he’s quite as good as Randolph and he’s injury prone

I’d pick Tay and Z-Bo because that combination doesn’t have Boozer in it.

Kills me to say it, but Boozer and Deng. The edges between Randolph and Boozer are a little smaller than the ones between Deng and Prince.

How much more is this choice in Chicago’s favor if Prince is replaced with Gay?

Why does everyone think Boozer is so horrible? He may be overpayed but he is still an excellent player.

But he’s not an excellent player. He is one of the worst defenders in the league and his offense at this stage of his career is not efficient or consistent enough to make up for his defensive shortcomings.

This explains everything: This yr, the Bulls were actually a better team defensively AND offensively with Boozer off the floor.

Yea, I think people are out-of-town stupid when it comes to Boozer. They see box scores and fail to realize how horrendous he is on D, how he chokes in big games, and doesn’t show up during playoffs. Let’s just hope one of those people who are out-of-town stupid is another GM. People also think Boozer is a low post player, also not true. I would like to see the metrics but I think 90% of his buckets come from mid-range. Even when he is 2 inches away from the rim, he still fades away. #BumSlayer

        Bulls Offensive Rating:

        Boozer on the floor- 103
        Off- 107.5

Average TS for a PF, playing more than 25mpg: 54TS%
        Boozer’s TS: 51%

So at the only end of the floor that Boozer is supposed to be good, the Bulls are better with him off the floor and he scores well below league average efficiency for his position

Boozer is one of the better low post scorers in the league but his fadeaway midrange skyball jumpshot is pretty much all he brings to the table. ZBo is clearly the better offensive and defensive player. I would say Deng is better than Prince now but the gap isn’t that big. The Bulls pair can shoot with the Grizz guys but Boozers shortcomings lead me to say that Prince and Zbo are the better combo.
