The8thDeadlySinParticipantI havent seen any rumors or claims to say that Baron is going to be traded but for some reason, I think that he will.. He and Vinny arent getting along like a coach and a PG should and Vinny seems to be messing around with a youth uprising in LAC.. There have been times where the group on the floor consist of everyone under the age of 22…
PG: Bledsoe
SG: Gordon
SF: Aminu
PF: Griffin
C: Jordan
That looks to be a possible lineup of the future and to be honest, that group didnt look too bad together.. If Baron is to be traded, what is his worth?? Can he bring a good SF for this team or is he just worth some expiring contracts and draft pick??
Also, where does Baron fit in?? Who would want him?? Any trade ideas for B-Diddy??

LOS ANGELES – Four games into the season, Baron Davis was not on the court for the Clippers — and not on the same page with Coach Vinny Del Negro, either. The Clippers’ point guard was scratched from Monday’s 97-88 loss to San Antonio because of a flare-up of the left-knee problems that bothered him in training camp. Del Negro attributed those problems to Davis’ lack of offseason conditioning work. Davis did not. “Baron has incredible amounts of talent and ability,” Del Negro said, “but his focus needs to be on staying in condition and playing at a high level. And he hasn’t done that for a while, and I know he’s frustrated with that, but there’s things he has to do to correct that.” Del Negro said Davis had “gotten out of shape pretty badly” over the summer, and while giving him credit for two months of hard work to get into condition, “that should have been a process right after the season ended. “It shouldn’t have happened just two months ago. We all know that. And that’s what we’re dealing with.” Davis, though, did not see the knee — which he said was swollen and did not respond to treatment prior to the game — as a symptom of a conditioning issue. “If you have four surgeries — a torn ACL, a couple of meniscus tears — that’s just how it goes,” he said. Davis said he’d prepared for this season as he had the previous six years, gearing up in August, but his old program didn’t work. “My body wasn’t responding as quickly as it usually does,” he said. “This summer was a dose of reality, as far as maybe you need to start a little bit ahead of time, or just train differently.” The 31-year-old Davis — with two years remaining on a five-year, $65 million contract — said his usual routine, once he begins working out, is to go to the gym three times a day. “Sometimes I just get so excited about the season and the game that I sometimes can over-train,” he said. “That may be it. That may be not. Who knows?”

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBaron Davis stock has dropped alot ..Plus having a weight problem, being injury riddled and a hefty contract will not make it easy to trade him..

LazarusMunozParticipantI would love them to get rid of Baron Davis, hes turning into a Steph Marbury or Jamal Tinsley right before our eyes. The problem is his contract. He still has this year and two more years left and its hard to think of any team that would be willing to take on his contract, his ego,his diminishing ability, and how injury prone he’s become!
The Clippers would get virtually nothing for him at this point, but thats fine by me.Addition by subtraction.I heard Larry Brown likes Baron,so who knows.
Im more than fine of having a back court of Bledsoe and Gordon at this point…Its funny to see the rotten look on EJ’s face every time Baron talks to him on the court

HitsterParticipantBaron would be due $14.5 million in 2012/13 which the Knicks would not like. With Detroit after a PG and wanting to move Stuckley to SG then there is a readymade trade for Richard Hamilton there. The Clippers could use Rip as a starting SF whilst Aminu develops and he can slip over to SG when Eric Gordon goes to the bench and longer term he’d be a great 6th man option.
Detroit get an experienced PG which allows Stuckley to move across and Ben Gordon to stay as 6th man, Stuckley can cover PG behind Davis as well and moving Rip frees up playing time for their younger SG’s and SF’s.
The trade doesn’t quite balance but the Clippers could send some cash or a 2nd rounder or Detroit decide to send T-Mac to really even up the salaries. Also it’s East to West so no Conference considerations are there.
I cannot see any other teams who would want a veteran PG at the moment apart from Charlotte but to make that trade work would probably involve bigs moving and the Clippers would not want to give up say DeAndre Jordan.
Otherwise any attempts to move Baron would probably be for expiring contracts and unwanted players and thus the Clippers would just cut costs.

SubZeroParticipantDo you see Gilbert Arenas or Baron Davis getting traded first? Seems like the Wizards and Clippers are in a similar situation with their former All-Stars…

Da1potParticipantThe Clippers are in trouble either way, because I don’t think Bledsoe can run the point yet without commiting a very high amount of turnovers. I’m high on Bledsoe’s potential, but if Davis is traded(or benched), I see Randy Foye starting instead of Bledsoe to complement Eric Gordon(he will play some point, too.)

llperezbaron davis is not worht expiring deals, a good sf or a draft pick. In fact, I seriously doubt any team wants that contract and it would be the clippers who would have to throw in the draft pick in order to get somone to take him off their hands for an expiring deal.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI didnt think that Bledsoe would start from day one.. It would be a combo of Foye, Gordon, and Bledsoe at the 1 spot if Baron is gone.. Honestly, I think Gilbert is a good fit next to Wall if he stops all the antics… If Gilbert just plays, he is a 25 point scorer.. Thats exactly what Wall needs..
I see Davis going first simply because good PGs are very rare.. When Baron is playing well, he is easily the most unstoppable scoring PG in the league.. Arenas brings lots of baggage like the gun incident and his crazy personality.. Baron is wild but relativly quiet..

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAs a Knicks fan, I don’t see them going after Davis.
The one thing with Davis, he loves the limelight. The Detroit thing is interesting because simply: I think he would be hyped to play on a new team and on a team who’s won nothing in a while.
Baron Davis to Detroit for Richard Hamilton, filler

ghettosermonParticipantBaron Davis play has dipped so much to the point that he wouldnt’ be a good starter for most NBA teams.

dmo21ParticipantWould the Bobcats want Davis? There poing guard situation is weak and the team is quite bad offensively. I don’t think Baron would fit in there but maybe they could trade Diaw and Carroll for him. Diaw could start for the Clippers and would be off the books in a year anyways.

marcusfizer21ParticipantFirst, shave off that damn beard man… It could be a small factor on why teams don’t want you…

stanford hoopsI’m sorry but that young group did look bad together. They can’t score and the defense is even worst when they are out there. It’s not that they are bad players they are just inexperienced right now and just aren’t ready. The key to this season is baron. If he plays well the team does well. He’s playing bad and the team is dead last in scoring in the NBA. So not only are they bad at defense they also can’t score
